RECORD DEALS GOING
Hi, I've just started up a Indee Dubstep Record label.
I'm currently looking for people to sign. I'm primarily looking for Dark Dubstep.
Examples: Excision, Datsik, Chasing Shadows, DZ, Nero, Rob Sparx and Bar 9
If you think your musics similar to that head over to the new page: http://www.myspace.com/2muchbassrecords
I've already signed 1 guy and his music will be apearing in 240 countries and in over 70+ Stores come the new year.
[Digital Distribution Only - Vinyl Release is possible if we receive positive sales figures]
Because it's a Indee Label I'm trying to keep it as basic as possible.
(no contract to sign - you'll get 100% of net profit sales - If you want to leave the label at any time just let the label know and we'll remove you)
By signing to the label we'll give you world wide digital presence for free.......If your good enough and promote you to the industry.
The only things we ask is that you put a link to the label on as many places as you can.
There may be a collaboration CD with all the artists on the label once or twice a year that will feature 1 track minimum of yours which you won't get royalties for. The money taken in by that will go help fund the label.
If you think your suitable please head over to http://ww.myspace.com/upstartrecords and give us a link to your page and we'll listen to the tracks and give you your feed back.
If you've got any questions let me know.
James

I can put music on all these stores for free so i wanted to give some producers that i thought were good on for free because i'm nice like that
.
Depone: Yeah i started that post! I part own Upstart Records which is what this label distributes through. It's going great haven't got much business through DSF, don't know why just no one appears to be interested in getting on all the major stores for £15 (flat rate) and get 100% net profit which is a bit weird! But we've got loads of business through myspace as loads of rock / indee / metal bands what there stuff up on the stores. As i was a member on DSF and i produce Dubstep myself i thought i'd give guys on here a shout but doesn't look like anyone's interested! www.upstartrecords.co.uk

Re: RECORD DEALS GOING
You've repeated your point twice without adding any extra information. To me this comes across as hard sell, a sales method I generally dislike and mistrust...thebees01 wrote: Depone: Yeah i started that post! As an artist looking for a potential labels to represent me, why would I be interested in you if you don't pay attention to the small details? 'I' is always capitalised, what should be want and your use of sentences is appalling.
I've also read your other thread ---> http://www.dubstepforum.com/get-your-mu ... 11611.html
More spelling mistakes were found.
thebees01 wrote:I should mention that your not bind to stay with us for the whole year you can request removal at any point.
The records have to be of sufficient recording standard. If it doesn't meat the standards...
Bind should be bound, and meat should be meet.
Thanks, but no thanks

perhaps he was 'speaking in symbols', as in they are not 'beefy' enough in production quality to be released.futures_untold wrote: and meat should be meet.

Of course, if I am being unfair in my judgement in any way, please correct me!

I'm very sorry if my grammar (which is due to dyslexia) is getting in the way of opening up doors for musicians then I am very sorry. But your obviously not interested in what I'm trying to offer. So quite frankly you can FUCK OFF'I' is always capitalised, what should be want and your use of sentences is appalling.

Sometimes its better to just ignore, now you've just made yourself look like a right tnuc and someone I don't want to work with.thebees01 wrote:I'm very sorry if my grammar (which is due to dyslexia) is getting in the way of opening up doors for musicians then I am very sorry. Re: RECORD DEALS GOING
@ the OP
How do you know I had no interest in what you were offering?
I admit my first post wasn't very supportive, but it gave you a perfect opportunity to demonstrate how you plan to achieve success promoting other peoples music & brand image.
There are plenty of people visiting DSF who are looking for distribution and record deals. If you can't give clear and precise answers to legitimate questions or points raised in a professional manner, then how are you going to build up trust amongst potential clients/partners?
As stated in an earlier post, feel free to correct me and show us all why your label is a winner!

Thanks to everyone that's got in touch about getting involved I've had a fair few requests and some of you guys are fantastic. I've only got a few spaces if I could sign everyone I would, but I really can't. If anyone else is still interested please still get in contact as I'm going to spend the next week making my mind up who i choose and you might be exactly what I'm looking for.
