:?: :? :?:

definately in two minds about this one.

line ups are heavy no messing about that. and as room 2's go, fabrics system is pretty good for second best.

but i cant help feeling the vibe is gonna be twisted...

combination of: emo kids listening to dance music for the first time, boshing too many e's, knocking my beer and giving me a big sweaty hug as if thats cool. and aggy stnuc whose sole purpose is jacking my spliff out of my hands just as ive flipped it and generally causing war

:P:

still, missed virus syndicate up in leeds and mrk1 is bad boy dj so might have to brave it

i know! fwd should book mrk1 and virus early 2007!!!

fabric is wack, on any given weekend it's 3/4's full of people who don't give a shit about any music let alone the music being played. It's such a 'cool' place to go that it has gone up it's own arse. Tbf the soundsystem really isn't all that considering the size of the place, the acoustics are terrible and the bar prices even worse.

fair play i'm happy that dubstep is getting played out there and the lineup is sick as a parrot but there are plenty of disused warehouses that would sound better with the same system.

is everyone ignoring the fact that all these DJs are deeming it worthy to hold a massive dubstep event in...surely that should be enough?

I think a lot of people are reading too much into the politics of the club...

...Enough of you turn up and pack room 2 out and you'll have no pillheads or sweaty people to worry about

Dubstep in Fabric early 2007 is a massive look no matter what anyone says. A lot of Europe's key players look to Fabric to set the benchmark. I'm all for it personally - could kickstart Dubstep's movement from the underground to a more truly global movement.

i like fabric, it's a fun day out! as long as you go in a massive group of mates it's a laugh...i've always found the alien-looking people in various stages of sweaty muntedness really entertaining

this sounds like it'll be a massive night, really want to see Al Haca & the prospect of dubstep in fabric is already giving me a semi

last time i went the sound in room 2 wasn't great, though. too much ear not enough chest.

yep you had a point....though they just installed two of the worlds best amps in room2 a few months ago....and it sounds fat as hell...

i can't belive that there isn't waves of support for this. correct me if i'm wrong but it's the biggest show of faith that a big club has shown in the music so far. it won't happen again if the scene doesn't turn out.
dubstep is better than you think.

there are waves of support for it its just that the people who feel they need to cuss the progress are the ones that shout up.....

All round the night is one of the most forward looking line ups out there, with el haca and iration steppaz in room 3 alongside the best jungle in the city.....

fingers crossed the people will turn out.....

How does getting into Fabric work if u have tickets...is there still bare queuing involved? The only time i tried to go the queue was ridiculoid and i failed in my mission.

SOOOO excited about this. Went there for my 21st so full of fond memories. Lineup's awesome and it'll be my last really big night out before going travelling so gonna be special.

On the tickets subject, why would anyone not buy a ticket beforehand unless they're sold out? Tickets way to go in my opinion.

Anyone who's not into Fabric...

Post by jefyardcore » Tue Jan 09, 2007 6:40 pm

This is going to be a ridiculous night and the line-up is wicked.

But anyone who's more on the grimy but friendly tip should head to Yardcore innit!

Peace, I hope that all goes well with this.
