16 Bit - Chainsaw Calligraphy

Post by teffa »

Ez to all

Been trying to recreate the bass sound of the 16bit in this tune http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W_9lPlNoarM but cants get even near....these detuned or smth like that wobbles are so crazy, but i can't even get close to makin them :u:

Does someone have any idea how a similar sound can be achieved

Much thanks in advance

mehhh, maybe, I mean I haven't spoke to them or seen how they do it.

But I'd place my money on some of those spectral waves you get in massive or something similar. It's aggressive but there's something non saw'y about it

yea it sounds fmish too me, been a while since i heard it
my bet is on capsa/rusko style for synthesis or fm and heavily distorted and processed

i had best success by using fm synthesis... sin v sin... different octaves played simultaneously. use a scream filter with a high cutoff and high saturation. then bitcrush and overdrive.

good luck, it's very difficult sometimes.
