Hi guys,

I've been producing for a while now, so thought it was about time I started posting a few of my tunes up to see what people think to them.

They're all pretty chilled out and weren't designed for dancefloors.
I'd love to know what people think though - any feedback and criticism would be very much appreciated.

Im listening :wink: That epic breakdown on Chamber of Secrets is quality, and I love the strings when it kicks back in at about 1:26. It's really emotional but I do like those sorts of tracks anyway, kinda had a bit of a boards of canada/ clubroot vibe about it in a way. The structure is really solid and the mix sounds nicely balanced.

Statement has an immense piano sound going on, was that a vst or sample or what mate? I can say the same for that Violin in Obsession, spot on! You seem to have a good ear for those sorts of orchestral sounds, Id definitely say they are a strongpoint in your tracks. The composition is wicked in both of those tunes and the filtering and whatnot that goes on throughout is quality.

I hope that was of some use to you, Im in no way an expert in any area of music but I thought id share my comments nonetheless, stick at it Tolawrence I like what your doing!

Ez Venuq :) Thanks very much for your thoughts! It's great to know you enjoy the tracks, and your comments are very helpful and highly appreciated :D All my mates rant on about Boards of Canada, though I'm yet to check them out myself! Perhaps it's about time I did.

The piano in Statement is a "Steinway Hall" piano that comes standard with Logic 8, drowned in reverb to make it sound less tinny and crap :P
The strings in Obsession are a layering of Logic strings and a few cheeky samples :D Hope that helps. Yeah I definitely like the film-score orchestral type sound-pallete. Hopefully it kind-of works in dubstep/d&b type tunes. . .

Dejection is pure bliss. Chamber of secrets is sounding pretty big too.
I reckon there's a bit of 'crowding' in the mixdown of some of your tracks, but other than that the originality and style is there.
Gonna be hearing new stuff from you soon hopefully, respect.

Cheers for checking out the tunes! :D Really glad you like them (especially Dejection, as that's my personal favorite).
I'll keep working on the mixdowns :) I do love having plenty of reverb on things, mainly in an attempt to disguise rubbish midi instruments, but it does tend to make mixing things quite a nightmare. . .

It's really great to hear you think the music sounds original too! Thanks again for listening.
