Re: Anger
bottle it up + wait for something to make me forget about it. I rarely communicate with people if i'm angry and if people try they won't get anywhere, it's like talking to a wall

i get hard when i see blood, puddles and puddles of blood
Re: Anger
Man i fucking hate getting angry... I have a fuckton of nasty scars from years back, all anger induced...
What have I gained from them ....nothing
Ultimately in my experience the very act of becoming angry is a form of self harm, mentally and physically. Your body goes through a bunch of undesired changes and the anger you feel can be perpetuated as you revisit the memory ...so the anger is internalized that moment of anger can continue to harm you for years to come.
Now days i just try (I stress try) and observe the anger, not bottle it up just kind of acknowledge it...accept it.... after a while it passes and I don't have to spend the rest of the day being pissed off about the tnuc that just cut me up on the M5.
I think unless your in a fight or flight situation.. where say your life is in danger.. being angry and losing control is a complete waste of time and you only end up hurting yourself.

I usually go on a sarcastic rant and displace my frustrations on crushing someone elses self-concept.
A musician must make music, an artist must paint, a poet must write, if he is to be ultimately at peace with himself. What a man can be, he must be.

Re: Anger
i understand anger as supressed or unrecognized pain
but get lost in it's chemical storm at the time.
When i realize that i'm angry, i usually smile
and start evaluating the cause as soon as i'm able.
can be motivating but

This. It's amazing how much time/energy gets wasted on negative stuff, and its tough to feel in control when its comes to things like that.yooamatwa wrote:Man i fucking hate getting angry... I have a fuckton of nasty scars from years back, all anger induced...

Anger is a crazy emotion, its actually not natural. Frustration is a natural emotion, and anger is frustration x10.
Something happens that frustrates you, which is an emotion, and then you start thinking irrational negative thoughts caused by that emotion, which builds that emotion, which causes and even more negative thought, and that little cycle stacks and builds until it turns into anger and you lose control and start doing/saying irrational shit.
I used to have issues with anger too. I learned to deal with my anger by realizing that literally the only person that can make you angry is you. Just like feeling happy, sad, or watever other emotion. If other people make you angry, that means essentially they have control over your emotions, which means you're emotionally weak and you let them.
If you dont WANT to get angry then you shouldn't, thats about the size of it. In fact when you feel yourself starting to get angry, and you ask yourself, do I want to be angry right now, and the answer is no, it makes a world of difference. You'll find it won't even be bottled up, you'll just be focused on removing yourself from watevers causing you to feel negative.
The problem with this is that, people will constantly push your buttons, because they're weak too, and getting someone else emotional makes them feel strong/superior. If you find someone is constantly doing this to you, you really shouldn't bother to change them, but just try and distance yourself from them. You'll find that alot of people who bring you down don't enrich your life, and you're actually better off staying away from them....
