yo guys
i'm moving to camden next month, i've lived in west australia all my life and have never left the country so it should be some eye opener!
can anyone recommend some sweet sights to see or places to go? also how close is it to where all the dubz is at? pretty keen to go see some crazy big dnb and dubstep shows!
gonna be starting completely fresh so if you see a scrawny pale australian dude with long hair, shout out

What part of Camden because it could make or break your experience of London
And you haven't seen pale until you've seen the english inner city tan

Parts of Camden are very posh but I was thinking I'd hate to live in Camden Town amongst all the Japanese tourists, goth kids and junkies. London's alright, can be the loneliest place on earth though if you don't make the effort because no one gives a shit about you if you don't make friends. Very important to not sink, some of my friends couldn't hack it and with being an outsider myself, it took me some months to adjust too.
I lived in several parts of London and my favourite was Stoke Newington in Hackney and opposite Tufnell Park tube station which is a spit away from Camden but still on the Islington side, I hated Morden and Kennington though.

Camden is a lol. I moved there when I first came down to London.
There's literally NO drum and bass or dubstep in London though. You're better off going to somewhere banging like North Wales.

ah right, yeah i'm not exactly posh ahah so we'll see where abouts he is.
i guess finding a job is gonna be the hardest part, but the best way to meet people. just hoping i can slip in somewhere! pretty much all i'm aiming to do is just slowly travel around and go out as much as possible, so much shit to see i'm sure! so keen on checking out some of the clubs over there. it'll be hard though pretty much being on my own - the guys i'm living with aren't into dubstep or anything so i'm a bit worried going out by myself
in perth it's a pretty friendly scene, is it similar over there? everyone just out for the tunes and good times and not out to stir shit?

London's awesome, you're going to have a great time. I moved here 3 years ago from the Westcountry and have had a brilliant time ever since, despite completely fucking up a relationship along the way.
Keep an eye on this board and the Events board for stuff going on... for massive-scale DnB/Dubstep try hitting up Fabric... if you want cosier, more specialist/independent nights, then have a look at Corsica Studios, Mass, The Coronet, The Arches etc.
Keep your eye out for "NINJA ROLL CALL" threads... these are your special chance to find out what utter douches we all are in real life.

Well there's a little crew of us that meet up at raves that I'm sure you'll be welcomed at, though I'd look out for Kay if I were you. He's chinese.
Also why don't you just work in a pub like every other Australian in London?

Top tip, been 2 two events with people from here now which otherwise I would have had to solo mission (probably not have gone). SO if your worried about not having anyone to go to events with that won't be a problem ! And that way you can make friends with people who don't like dubstep and not care.
Camden is pretty central so should be night busses to take you home all night really... correct me if I'm wrong.

haha i can only guess that's some kind of rip off australian pub?
