I completely want to pursue this as well
I thought DeathStep was a better name though
i would love to collab with some people on this
I have one of my tone downed clips of this idea on my soundcloud actually Soundcloud
but i have better more guitar used examples of this that on my comp, I will send song files to anyone who is interested in working with me.
Fuck me that is brutal.
I'd be down for helpin with some tunes like this...
yeah I've heard a few people doing shit like this. I was touring in Germany a year or so back and some dude played me these tracks he had done - basically he had just taken some death metal tracks and put massive subs and a big halfstep on it (quarter-step?).
I've gotta say, I'm not much into death metal but it was certainly pretty full on, quite interesting stuff. More interesting than bog-standard wobble, in fact!
hah the funny thing is can picture a HXC breakdown with a extreme mid range wobble in it. too bad i dont like much hardcore music anymore, used to be way into it, dont get me wrong there are some gems in the hardcore genre, but the attitude of most hardcore dudes and what they "stand for" is just so fucking corny.
loving this thread, fuckyea
i'm glad more people feel the urge of melting insane deathcore breakdowns/deathmetal riffage with some of this deranged wobble and absolute pounding bass...
its only gonna be a matter of time i'm sure.
substep infrabass has put up lotsa VIP and refixes, all of 'm are sick as fuck! the guys been going good, for sure
