Mainly hip-hop though, just look at this and remove anything regarded as dubstep and you have my music taste for the past 10 years.

haha! hairdressers... big up on that one. so true.

depends how far back you wanna go... if i just include the electronic music then i guess i started with stuff like funky house, deep house. have you ever heard of Mark Farina or DJ dan? that kind of shit... to be horribly honest, i even had a hard house phase (i loved those hollow bass sounds)...Tidy trax etc.

once the main stage shit kinda began to bum me out, i got on to breaks and dnb... i was that way for years... also been listening to garage for a long time. i don't see how the rest of the population missed it, to be honest. i've always thought the music was so sick. i always loved the sound that sort of emerged from the UK... cooky basslines and crazy beats...

these days, outside of dubstep, i think this whole new wave of that sort of quasi-drum and bass that D-Bridge and Instra mental (to name a couple) are dropping. very cool stuff. danceable but also easy to listen to. It seems to borrow a lot of elements from the golden age of jungle but brings all the warmth and punchiness of the newer stuff, but with more unique and varied beat arrangements.

i was a big fan of the whole Fidget House thing. just loved the randomness of it. The whole anything goes sorta thing really caught my attention until it all started to get a bit sameish!!! still listen to it every nw n again tho..

Jungle/Drum N Bass and Breakbeat Hardcore were my first loves followed closely by Reggae and Hip Hop, got into Death/Black Metal, Breakcore, IDM etc thanks to my years at college. Still listen to everything listed.
