External Sound Cards...

Need to purchase one to record sets onto my laptop, Is their one which is recommended? do i also need a programme on my laptop?

any help appreciated.

I use audacity, works perfectly for recording DJ sets.

Excellent, Thanks for that. Looks a bit baffling so i'll explore it. Does it have a feature enabbling me to split up the recording so i can
cut a mix up to seperate tracks? or will i need a dedicated mp3 splitter...

You can do that on audacity.
