Need Gun Samples

Post by rybread » Sat Dec 30, 2006 4:46 am

I'm looking for some decent/good gun samples.

I found a few firing sounds but none are really great. Also, I'm really interested in the other sounds like shotgun cocks and clip loading sounds.

If anyone can help that would be great.

I tried using the Google trick but all I found was a bunch of porn.

Thanks

I prefer using gun samples from games like Counter-Strike, System Shock, Half-life,...
There are also other sounds like explosions, screams, ...

Thanks for the help everyone but this brings up a new question.

How should I sample them?

I have an 8 track so I could run the audio signal from the game or DVD into that and then record as usual but won't I lose a bunch of quality? Is there a way I can take the audio information off the DVD and just chop out the pieces I want? More specifically, is there a cheap/free way to do it that doesn't involve stealing thousands of dollars worth of video editing programs?

Thanks again for helping out a noob. This is truly one of the coolest communities I've ever come across.

take a digital recorder down to your local firing range unless you live in the uk, then just allow it.

Play your DVD on your PC and record it with Sound Forge
