firstly, out to anyone who bought a copy of bare dubs 001 last night - much appreciated.
highlights for me were deapoh and pinch's sets. deapoh playing loads of stuff i'd never heard before, & pinch taking it crazily deep. pinch's last track was incredible - anyone know what it was?
looking forward to the 2nd birthday partaaay

^^ Good to meet you at last!
I think that was the/my best DMZ since last May!
Deapoh's debut was a perfectly executed warmup set, man didn't try and go for glory just did the job well and a couple of reloads to boot. As Pokes said "he earned those [souljah] stripes".
Next..ALL ABOUT PINCH! What a set, very deep and dark, I was completely vibing off the, er, vibe of the Bristol gang at the front and didn't move from the dancefloor for all Pinch's set. Definitely the highlight for me.
Mystikz set was heavy jumpup with the usual classics and some dark dubs, Skreams set I thought was darker than usual, was definitely feeling that and I left just as Cluekid and Cotti were gearing up as I knew if I heard their first tune I would never have torn myself away.
Larging up Grand, Deapoh, Boomnoise, Melissa, Whistla, Tippy Tapon and everyone else I chatted to. Serious dancefloor business last night. Sound system at its best since last May (I thought).
Amazing night!!

Bad news about your car, Random. But ohmigosh. What was Pinch's set like? He brought it so far down. That was a dubstep slow jams set - heavy! If that's what they do in Bristol I'm down there like a flash. Ultimate deepness.

First DMZ and a good one to start with. :-)
Nice to meet you, Ramadan. Sorry I didn't buy the BD - cash wasn't flowing last night. I'll be popping in to town when it is, though.
Big up Distance as well who I had a quick chat with. "Memory Loss" = teh r0ck. (Pinch brappage no need to say more.)
Had to leave after DMZ set. So this would be the third time I've missed Skream (after a couple of other FWDs including NYE). Will I ever witness him batta the tables?
Big up Deaps too! He looked so happy, how could you not enjoy the set? :-D Heavy tunes dropped as well, of course. What was that nutty one with the massive snare? (Sounded like preverb applied *after* the hit.)
Atmos not quite what I was expecting and certainly different from FWD. Nights complement each other well, actually.

First DMZ last night... Interesting comparing it with forward as joe said. Both top nights, people seem more chatty at dmz I find and every set I saw smashed it... Surprising highlight was Pinch's, DMZ seemed to be playing lots of new stuff or just tunes I hadn't heard which was interesting. I had to leave during Chest Boxin in Skream's set which was a shame. The bits I heard were great though... The more events I go to the more I keep on bumping into people I've seen a couple of times before which is cool too.

Pinch came execution style...highlight of the night for me.
It was all wicked, but particularly the opening of his set, and the last two tunes played. Serious.

Ah very good indeed. I got there a little late so i only cought the last half of deapoh's set. Sorry mate but, i was waiting for my" girl friend" to get ready. Gotta sat you looked like you were really injoying it

. Out to ramadanman. Response sounded big.
It was the first time i went without being shitfaced allready and cosequently was able to stay a little later. Aslo managed to not fall asleep on the bus and end up back in brixton

.
Oh, apolligies to poex and who ever else my girl friend was harrasing in the booth. You should have told her to fook off. Let me assure you she has been dealt with...
I found a really nice sweet spot on the stage where the bass reverbarates through the wood right up your legs and you just vibrate on the spot. No need to move. Nice. Although, having said that i did fall off the stage at one point to the apparent amusement to all who witnessed. I think i saw someone take a pretty harsh tumlbe before me and didn't come off to well though. Hope your ok.
