lol me too, I wish I'd had some Piriton with me. :D
also yeah dubstep is getting a bit techno actually
When I start seeing some "I get my s**t cut at Curve Pusher" T-shirts in the dubstep scene then I'll really start worrying. :D

Last night was so heavy- the icing on a BIG week of x2 DMZs and x2 FWD>>s. Thought I'd risk be all dubstepped out, but each night in this past week has been LIVE-O.

Some of the people with itchy button fingers should relax though. There were a few times last night that you could see it just wasn't the right time- If you think a tune is worth it, just let the operators know. After all, that it is their job.

Big up all the DJs pushing boundaries, out to the Bristol crew for making so much noise.. and DMz- the best British b2b since Torville and Dean.

Btw- who was taking pix and filming there? That camera man who was crawling around the booth.....

First of all big up MALA! Another excellent DMZ, the (mostly) all good vibes around are testimony to the hard work you must all put in to organising these nights!

Shame, got there too late so missed Deapoh, only just caught last bits of Chef.

After a little bit of warming up, thought Pinch played some seriously complex tracks

Another wicked set from the DMZ lot, you enjoy it cos we enjoy it, we enjoy it cos you enjoy it!
Sand Leaper wrote: The mixing left a lot to be desired as well. Case in point: Skream, who towards the end blatantly was chucking tunes arbitrarily onto one deck, beatmatching for 30 seconds and then just pulling up the other when things went out of sync.
er.... one of the reasons why Skream is a bloody exciting DJ is his rough and ready approach to mixing, he keeps it fresh and surprising. Anticipation is a big part of the dubstep experience for me and Skream's sometimes breakneck pace makes the meditations go into overdrive.

Dunno if it's just me thinking I'm hench in my Timberlands, but doesn't dubstep seem to attract a lot short ladies? :D I dunno what that means, but who's complaining - ladies are ladies... :)
'ey, don't be dissing the short ladies - good things, small packages and all that...
dubstep makes me happy

I'm not... my ex-wife was barely 5'0" and my current lady is the same height. ;)

"big up all the gash", as Task would say, lol

Yes, but it's possible to do this without wrecking the mix 40% of the time. Don't get me wrong, it's not Skream's style of mixing I have a problem with (quite the contrary, I love fast and aggressive mixing), it's the way it is executed that I'm criticizing.

Yup, that was him. It seems to have become a bit of a habit for DJs to start dubstep sets out with something completely different, I like that.

Heavy night. Pinched smacked, but so did all the DJs.

One criticism would be that I could barely here the first mc, let alone hear whar he was saying. Not sure why this was, could be my hearing but the later mc (sorry don't know their names  ) sounded much clearer. Anyone else find this?

Seriously good, roll on March's DMZ.

Shouts to Ramadanman...that Bare Dubs 001 you gave me...bit of a confession but i lost it on the night bus! Fell asleep on the no: 3 from Brixton to Oxford Circus and woke up going back to Brixton. The fuckerdriver didn;t wake me up. SO got off at the next stop and must have left the record in my mashed haze. Gutted. Will buy one instead. Support the cause for my wastemanness. Still got the CD tho!
:)
I feel your pain! Managed to leave my copy on the coach, gutted, out to Ramadanman who waited patiently for me to scrape together a fiver at the end of the night, only for me to loose my copy like a tool

Wicked night, got there so late due to g/f arrival (so sorry Deaps for missing your debut, and Chef - pissed I missed yours).

Guinness was flowing freely...

Anyone gonna admit pulling one of Skream's tunes mid mix? Premature, he was not loving it!
