recommend oldschool 808 driven hip hop?
yo people, i'm trying to dig into this stuff a bit more and figured I'd just pose a quick question here
any recommendations?
stuff like grandmaster flash, whodini, and planet rock is kind of what i'm looking for, dark and cutty would be nice (more on the electroish side than the hard rap stuff though), and even stuff like cybotron's clear would be dope. nothing could be too obvious or well-known for me.
i've heard tunes here and there that I have no way of knowing how to find the names of and I can only hope they'll pop up here. instrumentals would be nice as well
if there's already a thread like this i'd like to know
cheers!
