Health and safety!!!

Post by rossyb18 » Wed Dec 23, 2009 10:21 am

Sooo... One thing you should NOT do!!!

Put bacon under the grill and then go and start producing a song!

It's not good, so close to burning down my kitchen totally forgot about it until my fire alarm starting going off!

Years ago my mates parents were away at xmas so he had some mates over to mix and have a few drinks. Someone put some pork chops on the grill and everyone fell asleep. They woke up to find the whole house on fire and had to jump out of the windows. This was his parents house but he was living there (age about 18 or so) and he had a big collection of rare records that were no insured and were lost in the fire:(

I have done similar things when cooking. Thinking I will just listen to that loop one more time while something is cooking and totally forgetting.

My other top tip is this. Never, ever, take sleeping pills and laxatives at the same time :u: :D
Don’t worry about people stealing an idea. If it’s original, you will have to ram it down their throats.

i can't count the number of times i've put a pot of water on the stove to boil some tea, come back an hour or so later to find the pot smoking and all the water dried up.

and naturally my first reaction is to grab it to get it off --- also a bad idea

I always set an alarm on my phone now if I leave the kitchen. When I was in halls at uni I left a garlic bread in the oven and fell asleep. Woke up to a lot of smoke and people goin crazy in the morning. Thankfully no fire happened, don't think they ever found out it was me either.
