some tunes are best to have as exclusives ,
i dont want to play a tune i know bare other djs r playing .
but it is good promo but all the time its long
and people saying they r kids so check out the beats just pisses me off
but non the less some big tunes i do find in there

I've given up with the dub section a bit. If its not a banger no one really takes a look. I don't take it seriously anymore. But what i dont want to do is spam the dubstep section. Im finding many ppl doing that now

Feel a bit bad really cuz I used to use it as a "check my new tune out" then realised there's a lot of heads who put 100% massive effort into it and feel like I'm adding to the sea of spam.

only started using it in the past couple months. only put up two tracks. I was surprised at the feedback one of the tunes got, even if that feedback was 15 people or so. the way people say it's all about bangers I was surprised people actually checked my shit. I put "320 available" in the title so maybe thats it. the title of that song was also weird so maybe that's what drew attention.

but I can't bun the dubs section...lots of ill stuff there.

well, i dont mean to bitch about it, and im NOT saying that there arent a few bangin tracks floatin around there at any give time.... but

when i was pumpin out a new tune every other day, i would get TONS of responses, i had up to 7 pages on a tune at one time, BUT.... i was giving 320's.

now, i just say, "check this tune, thanks"

and they say "320's!?!?"

and i say "no, sorry man."

and the thread dies. that's it. :|

I given up on the Dub section. I give reviews to the best of my ability. I comment on what I like and don't like about tracks and I make suggestions on parts that need a tweek here and there. I'd like to think I am honest and fair in what I post... but fuck it I give up. Its either that muppet Chauncey/yecnuahc/the dot/c-zar being a tnuc, threads that have 32O in the title or people getting shirty because people aren't posting in their thread even though though they have 5 posts to date... I could go on.

Some amazing music gets posted in there, it's just a shame so many amazing idiots post in there too :)

Yeah it's a big turnoff for me when all I see is a bunch of all-capital letters free 320 inside-type splashes

i gave up on it a long time ago.
which is a shame as i used to mine some absolute gold in there and i always made sure i posted a decent comment about each tune i liked.

but that was a few years ago and now on the odd occasion i dip in there it all seems to me to be a marauding horde of indetikit wobble/brostep and i dont have the time or the inclination or desire to wade through a trough of shit.

personally i think dubstep has changed in style; and the style that is prolific now is not the one i first loved and i do not enjoy listening to it. so i just dont go in there now...

maybe one day ill welcome the dubs section back with open arms and a seat at my dinner table but it would take a big change in personality and apologies over the way it has treated me in the past year or so for me to truly forgive and forget. dont get me wrong we had some amazing times together and even now on very rare occasions we can get together and have a little bit of a smile and a good time. but its not the same. its like we're trying to force the time we spend into something it used to be, something its not. i think maybe its time we went our separate ways. at least for a while. its not you its me, youve changed massively and i dont feel like i know you now. maybe im the same person and youve moved on without me, maybe im too set in my ways. i dont know what it is but i dont feel like its working between us.
maybe we can still keep in touch? y'know send xmas cards and perhaps a telephone call on my birthday would be nice.
at least we're parting on amicable terms tho right? i mean, i dont want this to turn nasty with our friends getting involved and all that childish "who gets to keep the good china" arguing.

anyway. i hope you do well in life and that you are happy and secure.
see you around

There should be a voting system like Digg or Reddit or something so you can sort by the highest voted shit.

i think, what they should have is a soundcloud type drop box that could be embeded somehow into the site so people can download and rate what they want and not have to worry about spamming the forum.

Haven't been in there since the old DSF times  .
A musician must make music, an artist must paint, a poet must write, if he is to be ultimately at peace with himself. What a man can be, he must be.

You mean like back in '07 when all the shit getting played was just people off the forums? Yeah, I miss that.
Or do you mean the way the forum used to look haha
