I bought a few too. I nearly bought plants and zombies months ago for £20 but it was only £1.99 :o

I am thinking about buying Eve but it looks like it is one of those games that consumes your life.

Nah not necessarily. One of my friends has been playing it for years. He only logs in every now and then. You gain experience based on real time so you don't have to be on to progress. The downside is that people who've been playing longer will always be more powerful. Or so I've been told.

It can however consume your life if you want it to.

I like god games and long paced games where you can sit with a spliff and a beer for an hour with some tunes on and harvest and farm shit. Loved the original Settlers games for the Amiga, Populous and C&C. I also really like Homeworld, that game was amazing. I Don't have very many games at all, only ever bother with them if they're really good and I know I'll play them to death. I get a bit bored of FPS because I am shit at them and they're all the same really.

Get Audio Surf, it's only £1.50 and it's great fun. I just bought Torchlight so it better be good :p

fair enough but EVE is so ridiculously fucking monotonous for the first 20+ hours. i mean it's literally waiting for progress bars to reach 100%

it's a shame because the endgame is epic beyond belief

Oo! Just noticed they have X-Com: Terror from the Deep! Time for some nostalgia!

And all Popcap games for half price! Tempting....I might never leave home again though.

Didn't like it, everyone seemed really fucking weird and I mean really fucking weird people on there. It was like a virtual Isle of Man.

Maaaatttee dont EVER EVER get wow, it'll suck you in for good! I used to play it for a year and a half and had to stop myself because i didnt like what i was turning into. This is gonna sound deep but one time my mum was in the hospital and visiting hours were gonna end soon, so my dad wanted to go in a hurry (this was years ago btw like 2/3 years ago) but i made him wait another half an hour because i was in an arena match and didnt want to loose it cos i cared more about a game than my own mother.....how stupid is that. Worse still i failed my first year of architecture cos i never did any work...just played wow hahaha. Selling my account for £500 was the best thing i ever did and i've never looked back, went to brighton uni doing a completely different degree and got my social life back, dont get me wrong though, i look back on it with great memories and met some jokes people (who i dont talk to anymore lmao) it's defo a chapter in my life i dont want repeated though, it's the best game ive ever played but the consequences were unreal. I've not touched a time consuming game like that since, i just play games like pro evo/fifa with my mates now because i know when to stop and i know i didnt have in game responsibilities like i did in wow. I spend my free time listening to/creating music now, it's far more productive and i'm not out of sync with the outside world!

Played WoW only for a month or two, didn't find it particularly appealing. There wasn't much challenge (not that I'm particularly keen on challenging games either) if you didn't enjoy PvP. It also lacked a bit of gameplay depth, which I guess made it a lot more appealing to the mass market. I found other games like City of Heroes and now Aion (to some extent) more interesting.

Got Populous on the DS, not played it yet though. Now there's some nostalgia factor!
