Bloc Weekend- Getting in under 18?

Post by -dubson- » Sun Dec 27, 2009 7:25 pm

Me and a few other people want to go to this but are under 18. The line up is so big we are pretty desperate to go.

Anyone got any ideas? How strict is the ID'ing?

Yes, would like some info on this.

Taken from BLOC website...

'Can I bring my kids to BLOC ?
Yes. Children under the age of 10 are allowed on resort for BLOC under the condition that they are supervised by a parent or guardian at all times and do not enter the licensed venues after 8pm.'

'Does BLOC have an age limit?
Yes, BLOC is only open to those aged 18 and over.'

So the question is whether there will be IDing when entering the arenas?

I believe they ask for the 'group leader' to produce full ID on checking in, but if they're suspicious of anybody in the group not matching up with the details provided on the booking then they can ask the whole group to produce full ID before you're allowed on site.

So basically if everyone in the group doesnt have full ID you run a big risk of not being let on site?

last year 5 of my mates all had there wristbands cut off halfway through the weekend for being underage.

another 2 of mine had there room raided because they were smokin up out the window and got chucked out of the venue alltogether.

Fuck it. Dubson, maybe we will just have to wait until we're 18.

or you live in the states and will never be able to go to either regardless of your age requirements. don't be sad, give it a year or 2 and you'll be there...unlike americans like myself who would have to spend over a grand to make that kind of event happen. :(
