Or at least have them all somewhere as reference and an archive.

Can anyone remember who WON each of the previous comps

Hack you seem to have hosted quite a few of them? Still got the MP3's / Names of Winners?

Safe
I remember winning one of them.. But I'm not sure which.

Voting will end after New Years! What not a better way to celebrate with winning DSF 18.

Aghem, and a few pints of course.

In the future, while it would be a tiny bit more complicated situation , I believe it would be more fair to use a random three digit number generator to name the tracks. You could find random number generators on the web I assume. It's an incredibly simple situation and it might ease the strangely skewed play amounts in the set. Just tossing out an idea.

4 was the "heaviest" as far as wobbles, but could have gotten a lot nastier.

12 was good and heavy as well, really diggin the glitchy feel to that one.

voted for 11, not really into the "vibey" tunes, and the production quality wasnt the greatest, but something about this one i really liked.

I will take the suggestions into consideration, the random generator seems like it would resolve the play count.
One more day of voting!

alright i'm gonna make a quick vote, would have liked to listen some more. But got things to do for nye. It's a bit late now, but i think we could keep the voting open until sunday. Everyone will be wasted from nye anyway..so what else do they have to then but listen to dsf competition tracks

since i don't know if voting will be extended i'm gonna vote for 11. Really like the dreamy, jazzy laidback vibe. The atmosphere really grips me. Reminds me of old atmospheric drum&bass i used to listen to way back.

everyone have a nice NYE, wish you all a great year!

Don't get how that random thing would work..unless it would randomize the soundcloud playlist. But that could also have some side effects.

but i'm actually back cause i just had some other ideas, and can't get them out of my head, so just putting them out here:

- make a post in main section of the board to get this under attention (maybe already happens??). This would get some more votes and listens
- make tracks available for dl as mp3's. Maybe insert an "dsf xx track x" type of voice at begin and/or end of track for easy recognition? This greatly increases the places where people can listen and the time they can spend for it.
last one
- also publish the samples, just put them all after one another in a track on the soundcloud. So people can hear what the ingredients were.

that's it, i'm going back to my nye stuff :t:

As for voting I'm going to call it midnight GMT, unfortunately, I did not set a deadline for the poll when I created it so it will still be open.
Winner will be announced tonight.

Thank you for the ideas Surefya and Happy New Years to everyone!

well this is exciting it's all tied up!! like the idea of sending out info about the comp to other parts of the forum, seems like less people are voting, listening and producing in these comps, im sure a couple posts here and there would do a lot.

wonder if this is going to be a tie or if someone is gonna swoop in at the last second.

Since Tavravlavish has stated that the vote was last submitted in 2010 I will be more than willing to collaborate on the next DSF competition samples with Track 11, my track was 03. Whoever was Track 11 please contact me via PM for more information, unless everyone who voted wants to make one last count on who should be the winner, by all means.

Overall the production has improved a great amount compared to previous competitions, proper.

Happy New Years and much love!

Cheers.
