Too many minimal tunes (beat, wobbly bassline and possibly a sample) which just don't work all that well. Loefah's still one of the few ppl that can get away of it (and he is an absolute master). The most interesting tunes are always the ones with the emphasis on the high-end for me personally.

Pinch + DMZ = Lowend destruction!!! That man knows how to keep it minimal.

Well you may well be right. not had the privilege of seeing Pinch play out. he's supposed to be coming to leeds in a month

To say it was "done right" and that the results were determined by "the scene" is debatable.

What was done wrong about it? I sort of agree about the scene bit, but he made it very clear it was a forum based awards thing. He's not exactly misleading people.

I don't think he's misleading people. But I think the awards are dumb.
