Well both tracks are completely different so it doesn’t matter what you put in between them both.
Africa is a wobble track with loads of reverb on the top bit and In For The Kill Is a cheesy vocal pop song. They do not go together at all.
Don’t worry about people stealing an idea. If it’s original, you will have to ram it down their throats.
Re: help with picking a track
apologies,
i meant cockney violin and africa however, have decided against it i think.

Re: help with picking a track
There is a million other jump up tracks like both of them so it should not be hard to find.peterh321 wrote:apologies,

Check other tracks by the artists and also other stuff on the same label, Dub Police I think?
Try and keep tracks on the same vibe/feel and if you can keep an element from the previous track in the new one. That can be anything, same kind of bass patch or just some noises that sound the same.

Re: help with picking a track
RE the comment about the two tracks being too different to mix - surely that is the art of a DJ someone who can bridge between unlikely bedfellows?
Mind you having said that the La ROux thing is played out anyways

Re: help with picking a track
Any tracks can be mixed. I am not saying they dont go together cos it will be hard to mix or anything. The records have nothing in common and do not sound right together! part of building a set is the track selection/order! if you get it wrong you just sound like ur average bedroom DJ who is not even paying any attention to flow.eops wrote:RE the comment about the two tracks being too different to mix - surely that is the art of a DJ someone who can bridge between unlikely bedfellows?

One of the great things about playing tho is when you can make two seeming diperate tracks segue by choosing the right one to bridge between them ...
