I don't think drugs are even relevant.

A talented musician is a talented musician. Also, when is a musician talented? If he/she makes money? If he/she is born with talent?

I'm probably a talented musician and I don't do drugs. I have nothing against drugs though.

no thats not what i meant, my point was the they are probably some of the most creative and imaginative people in the world and they take drugs, which infact seems to suggest that creative and imaginitive people are more likley to take drugs

thats how it seems to me anyway

There's actually research that shows that intelligence increases the likelihood of experimenting with substances.

Read the post before you moralise - he asked a perfectly legit question and signed off with a disclaimer that you shouldnt do drugs - what do you want fer nothin?

My wide eyed days are behind me now but SKull disco's Blood on my hands (villaobos minimal mix) is 17odd minutes of wTF?

IF you dont need a drug dont do it but purrrlease this is a music forum focussing on an art form heaviy associated with happy pills not a christian conservative conference ... :z:

I disagree, you say you can't judge people that do drugs. What you say is exactly the same.

I do not think people's capability to be crative or imaginitive is linked to drugs.

I understand what you are saying though, it's not like everyone who takes drugs is a junkie, but it has nothing to do with creativity or whatever.

djaccel wrote:There's actually research that shows that intelligence increases the likelihood of experimenting with substances.
I believe this, but again intelligence also has nothing to do with making conversation or imagination.

with regards to dubstep: boxcutter, glyphic and oneiric albums are wicked tripping music

plus any more atmospheric minimal stuff will do the trick - 2562, scuba, burial, etc.

but also filthy stuff with crazy noises.

basically anything that is interesting or deep, and basically good, will be enhanced immensely on a load of psychedelics.

All to their own. Personally i cant stand the stigma of drugs (weed in particular) in dubstep. When someone drops a weed reference in their track i just think 15 year old boy who should grow up. Smoke weed, by all means, just dont make it so fucking cliche.
