im still here!

lol

this song even gives me trouble

basically it's really shuffled to start, but know that the snare lands on the correct time. mixing it in isnt too hard, it's mixing it out

i usually end up dropping in into mr curtamos heartbroken in the begining on the 2nd "quiet" part and not let the 2nd drop even go down

would love to hear which tunes you found to mix it with

Like I said in previous post....try mixing into caspa - wheres my money, the phone ringing out sounds awesome, and the uh oh danger sample plays off of this very well ;-)

Hey widdler are you still using reason primarily as your daw of choice? If so, which instrument do you program your bass with....thor?

im using propellerheads record now, which is still reason 4, but with major upgrades.

so yeah im still mainly in reason 4. the thor is still too beastly for me, learning all its features and such. but i love the maelstrom and subtractor

Right on, thx for the reply widdler ;) I started out using Reason and have definitely put a ton of hours in....Just wondering, do you use a scream distortion for your formant sounds or the built-in filter in thor for this? I got something cool of scream that sounded good but nothing from the filter in Thor yet....but maybe I'm not using it right, and you're right, it is a beast!

ya i use the scream digitizer with a square for that "yeah" bass, another good thing to do in order to beef up a bass is copy it twice so you have 3 copies, the 2 extra basses should be mids an dhighs only, low pass filter them. then pan one left and one right. then on top of those add some distortion (lightly) and have the settings be slightly different for each one. helps get a big wide bass

Wow, you're the man, thx for the tip! I've read a little about this technique but I haven't played with it much, but that will now soon change ;) Do you EQ or Compress each of the 3 instruments in your combinator seperately or just on the master channel out to the mixer?

Btw, I missed your show here in denver recently, damnit!.....But I look forward to your next show in our area -- Any idea when that might be?

Yeah its one of the few tunes i struggle to find anything to mix it into, same with froggy style, although i find that hard to mix it out of as there isnt really a calm breakdown.. both amazing tunes, froggy style goes OFF in a club :r:

have you any ideas of whats good for mixing with froggy style?

cheers :)

There are a few tracks that I've mixed out of that track to... To name a few, 'Bukez Finezt - Oi!!', '501 - Get Back', 'Nero - This Way'... all kinda nicely fit :)

BIG tune btw Widdler, pretty much my favourite tune by you :D Also gotta say that Origin is immense, really loving the deeper vibe you've chosen to go for :e:
