Can you put me up in London next week?

Post by futures_untold » Thu Jan 14, 2010 4:29 am

Hello DSF producers in London 8)

I'm living in horrible shared accommodation in Oxford at the moment. I need a change of scene and feel London could be an interesting way forwards.

I need help landing there and finding accommodation.

Can anyone put me up for a night or two whilst I seek out rented accommodation next week?

I can trade samples, bass patches, ebooks and graphic design in return ;)

Thanks! :)

Pat

Don’t worry about people stealing an idea. If it’s original, you will have to ram it down their throats.

Housemates in London Wanted

Post by futures_untold » Thu Jan 14, 2010 4:09 pm

I was going to look for rooms to rent.

My friend is in a similar position and sounds keen on finding a shared accommodation together.

Maybe we should turn this into a 'find housemates in London' thread?

Living with other producers is always fun! :)

@ Depone

I'm cool with sleeping on a carry mat. (Boy scouts, wacko jacko camp and all that)

I'm going to talk to my friends over the next few hours and will PM you by Saturday at the latest. (If that's cool?)

Thanks! :D

Already in one at my parents. Will be staying here I think till I move into a new house I am buying. But, I may just rent that out...

Let me know where you are thinking. I like to mix nearly every day and it drives people mental (apart from my parents) lol

I have two things I'm looking for.

The first is a living space that isn't as grotty as where I live now (for physical and mental health reasons).

The second is a space where people will not be on my case for persuing self employment over externally provided employment.

I'm also becoming more active in waste management, reuse and recycling activities. Whichever locality I live in, I'll be involved with that on some level too.

I've already several things in motion already, like job applications and voluntary involvement with various projects. However, none are concrete and I am willing to move to persue my own private business agenda if none of the other things materialise.

I'd love to live in London, but am equally happy to live elsewhere. So if any people looking for housemates have ideas, I'm game to hear them! :)

I think I'll leave things for this weekend until I've had a chance to speak with various people about the state of play in each relevant area (housing & employment basically).

After that, I'm going to go on a mission across England meeting as many DSF producers as possible! :)
