RE-UPPED - Multi Sampled Violin for Kontakt!

Hey i just made this multi sampled violin patch for kontakt 3 (not tried on Kontakt 2 but might work)

I used a Sontronics Orpheus microphone to record the sounds, then made the multi instrument. They were recorded in mono as the task was to create a patch under 32 meg, but I have added some widening chorus and a stereo reverb to help it spread out a bit.

Let me know what you think. It has various playing styles; A plucked section, a bowed section and a bowed vibrato section.
The samples have also been velocity mapped, so the harder you play the notes the more of an 'attaky to sustained' sound is produced. Also the mod wheel is assigned to an LFO that makes some artificial vibrato for extra control.

Every 3rd note was recorded in the studio. i asked the violin player to just play as non musically and straight as she could. Then i put the best takes together of about 3 octaves and then got the articulation recordings done. In a word, its not a performance recording. Its an instrument recording.

(ps some of the high notes are a bit 'raspy' due to the cheap violin/strings)

well thats the thing. the whole point of this patch is that its layered with diferent subtle sounds as you play it, the samples on their own wouldn't sound nice to play with
