it's kind of right to be paranoid about hyperdub tbh. you just need to read a bit about steve goodman's cultural cybernetic theory from when he was part of the CCRU to realise that burial is a creation that fits in with that. it's impossible to know if he just found someone who fits nicely into his ideas or if it was all a creation from the very start

i wouldn't say it's a conspiracy but prof goodman is a very clever man and it looks to me that he perfectly played the burial non-identity thing to gain interest and add mystique... either that or it's a massive coincidence that burial just happened to end up signed to the label of a man who had been discussing these kinds of things years before
