I'm also having a production weekend! GL and have fun!
hahaha. i'm flattered. just wait until I get some sound up on here... if you guys want to hear the FIRST thing I ever tried making electronically (2 months ago) you can go here: http://www.myspace.com/kickassbadassthereckoning

its the LAST song on the page (the others are just songs I like)... I made it using Reason & Ableton.. the little girl's voice is my daughter
You got some serious vibe going on in there, your daughter's voice adds to the "sinisterness" (in a good way)

I don't really like the bass too be honest, but seeing it's the first thing you ever tried to make I really like it! If you would change the wobble for some basic sub I would like it way more.

Also, that electric one shot thingie (maybe real fast hihats I don't know) sounds really good!

I can't stress this enough, I'm so glad we have yet another quality member on this forum :)

nice one bruv..

Yea, I pretty much made that bass after watching a tutorial vid on youtube... so don't worry, that is the element I spent the least amount of time on. And yea, that was my first attempt at making a song. (the 2 months leading up to that were spent getting software, samples, and seeing what everything does within the software and with respect to each other)

thanks though...

wow.. thanks so much. I'm VERY self conscious when it comes to my work... I'm glad its not as bad as I think it is. I'm kind of a perfectionist and I always have an imaginary audience I'm always trying to impress..

like I said, aside from my roommates, y'all are the first to get a taste of my style.. I'm glad to see I'm not as shitty as I think.

 San Marcos is a brand of frozen pizza over here. Damn good too. My missus wont let me eat stuff like that normally so I had to get them into the house on the sly........

Listened to your clip too, not a bad start bruv. Your little uns voice reminds me of the Eminem track "I think my dads gone crazy..." with his daughter doing the same kind of thing. Nice touch.

mmm.. frozen pizza. yea, when I'm workin in the lab I stick to burritos and tacos.. one of the many perks of living 30 minutes away from mexico is having a 24 hour drive-thru mexican food joints on every other block. I have 6 within a one mile radius from my house...

and thanks. I know I'm off to a good start, which is why I'm going to school for production.. I start my 2nd semester on Monday. As I learn more, I'm sure my skills we be able to translate the sounds in my head into sounds you all can hear and brock out to..

DSF is the shit.. glad I took a chance with you guys.

i feel ya... once you get used to playing your stuff and having a positive reaction, the conviction that it sucks will fade. when i'm producing a track, i too usually picture an audience.. but instead of me fighting to impress them, i'm just getting into the music and they're just feeling it with me, no egos, no cynicism.. they're just bouncing to it. and i feed of their energy and start bouncing to it also, and it just builds... cool shit
