Favourite/Prefered/Used VST's?
Hey guys, wondering what VST's and DAW's you use (I am aware that there is already a DAW thread, though I haven't read into it),
I've got Albino 3, Massive, Z3ta and DR-008
For me I find:
Albino is pretty easy to use, though the interface isn't very helpful if you're used to another interface.
Massive has probably the most complicated interface but after playing with it for a few hours, i've gotten used to it.
Z3ta is so simple to use, though I don't like the sounds i was getting out of it (however, the same settings in another VST made great sounds, so i'm happy with that)
DR-008 is cool for drums, I like it, though the sounds are kinda shitty...

Massive is ridiculously easy
Re: Favourite/Prefered/Used VST's?
Yeah, or at least, I thought so. Actually, I think the thing that threw me was the whole routing thing. With the numbers.
And the LFOs on the tabs...
Really blagged my head!

3xOSC
Beast
Cyanide 3 (Dont bitch, I talk to the dev team on criten, 3s still glitchy, but it has millions of patches included and three band filters on each side instead of just the lp/hp)
TAL Bitcrusher
Snarl (shit, but I like it)
FM8 (and yes, 3xOsc comes first)
The default fruity compressor n limiter
DubDelay (little less variables then some, little more power imo)
CamelPhat
...oh, n MDA reverb, phaser, flanger, tremolo, vibrato...
N last but not least, most actually.
THE ITCHYS!!!

Re: Favourite/Prefered/Used VST's?
Really?
I dont know all that many people that dont... they blow big ones solo, but if you multichain a bassline out on the mixer, n layer em, theyre really the key to getting alot of the more vocal sounding wobbles... particularly the 'yoy's and 'yii's...
N yeah dude, Cyanides the shit as far as waveshapers go n when they get the bugs outta v3, the added filters will make a HUGE difference, I promise.

http://www.hitsquad.com/smm/programs/Cyanide_win/ > Cyanide 2, stable release.
http://kunz.corrupt.ch/?Products:VST_TAL-Bitcrusher > TAL Bitcrusher
http://freemusicsoftware.org/722 > CMT Crusher, more minimal but I like it for basic overdrive n downsample, its alot less resource hungry, which matters alot too me when I start to go overboard with the route-effect-reroute...
N IDK how I forgot this, but, if its distortion you like, dont ever forget the formant filter... put some of these muffuckas after some waveshping and bitcrushing, instant metallics.
http://freemusicsoftware.org/722
Like I said dude, they all kinda blow when you use em alone (ept cyanide, it can do some pretty sweet stuff, check out the bark dog preset if you get a bit, n then twist the default wave around n turn the post filter down... But if you get too routin n layering n then rerouting, youll get some serious sounds.
