Personally i would never say the music i like defines who i am necessarily....i like a bit of grime for example but i'm hardly identifying with it on a personal level...the same can be said for folk music i like such as vashti bunyan or linda perhacs.....the very thing i like about a lot of music is how different it is from me...to label myself as the music or attach it onto my personality like an iphone app would be pretentious to say the least and not a true reflection of the real me underneath the exterior
