I think he might be doing a good enough job on his own. He's brilliant to have around, but he really makes it too obvious how eager he is to find wrongdoing with America. The sad thing is, he doesn't have to try that hard... I find it easier to warm to people in that region like Evo Morales who manages to look calm and intelligent whilst maintaining political integrity and, hopefully, progress for his nation.

Chavez could do brilliant things and is a great influence to have in an important area of the world, but he needs to keep tabs on his quality control.

It's all well and good bringing this stuff up around the internet when you're not an international diplomat - you have a little bicker, someone posts a silly picture, everyone moves on - , but Chavez, who has his entire nation's foreign relations on his shoulders will work himself into an even more isolated political position if he keeps up with all this scaremongering... Fair enough. The article didn't strike me as too conclusive. Important words for me were "An unconfirmed report by the Russian Northern Fleets" - no names attached and a rather general description - who are the "Northern Fleets" and how do they make a statement as one? Why is it still "uncomfirmed"? Could someone have just made it up? Why do we have the "gist" of this report but no exact wording?

anyway, that shit could be made up and intentionally leaked to press as many other things, that doesn't change how true or false is the information in it. normally in such situations you put out true information you can't officially release because it's a no no by the rules. you can twist a few things here and there to enhance the effect, but it's gotta mainly be true, otherwise will be easy to disprove and the effect won't be the needed one

he's upfront too much and not honest enough, but many of his stuff was proven correct, because it's his interest too to put out some truth, if he would totally and intentionally avoid anything true he wouldn't stand a chance to be what he is
if you have any life experience and knowledge is very easy to spot and use the truth in his work, and in the beginning there weren't many places where to dig for that truth except in his shit, as steamy as it was!

i couldn't be arsed reading the entire thread but the US were also doing drills the day before 9/11, Katrina, and the UK were doing drills the day before the London bombings. One incident i put down to coincidence, two i put down to coincidence again but become suspcicous, three times i think maybe somethings going on.

especially the money that the US stands to gain from Haiti. It will have all the contracts for rebuilding Haiti, plus the massive loans that it will lend Haiti and then demand back... thus a stupidly high amount of Haiti's GDP will go straight in Americas pockets (maybe 80%)... anyone who says this is false needs to do research as the US (and France before it) have been doing this to Haiti for hundreds of years, hence why Haiti is was so poor before the earthquake.
