I have today off and it's foul outside, I am too skint to do anything and I really don't fancy dicking about on the internet all day, watching TV and cooking massive curries for the sake of it. I Also got a letter through the door for another MRI scan and a liver biopsy, I am sick to the back teeth of them. My liver must be religious it's that holy with them poking needles in.

I could tuck into my over-draft and buy random crap off the internet but I hate going into my over-draft.

Roll on payday.

Still, I am warm, have food in the cupboards, a place of my own, a big fuck off TV and a fly computer so I can't really moan.

Today could not have been any worse.

Got woken up by dickhead flatmate slamming the door again at 5.30. Go to make a bowl of cereal, they've drunk all my milk again - this happens every day. Last week I bought 9 pints of milk drunk about 2. Bought 8 rolls of shit paper used 1.

I had this massively important job interview in Holborn at 9. I leave the house with 3/4 hr to spare and the trains at mile end are fucked. I get there 10 mins late for the first part of the interview with a lady who has flown out from DC to meet me. not good. Im massively flustered cause I got there late, and sweat the whole time and give shitty answers to her questions becuase im still pretty flustered. Then interview with two other people. That was ok...ish.... but still no where near as good as it could have been. I left, head hanging low, not expecting a call back. Now im misery eating fried chicken and prawns to make it better - it wont :( . I had to take a day off work for this :( :( sucks.

They expect you to be nervous, man, and often they're just as nervous and anxious as you so don't panic too much. Think positive, if you explained why you were late they'll be understanding, London transport is hit and miss :)

I should fart on his pillow all day to try give him pink eye.

Does anyone know if that actually works?

What do you not get about the fact it's sposed to be my long weekend off?!
Fuck sake.

In future just say no, if you dont want to work tell them its your time off and that you have made plans.

Also tell them that you cant relax on the few days off you do have if they keep on calling you.

Whats the worst that can happen, they cant sack you for not working on your day off...unless you still in your probationary period and you need to kiss a bit of arse to get a permanent contract.

I wouldnt have it personally.
I've said no twice, once on my birthday when they asked me to do a double shift (fuck working 14 hours on my birthday) and the when they rang me the other day.
All the other times I've said yes.
I appreciate the money because it really does help, but its just I havent had more than 2 days off at any one time in over a month.
Think up to now I've had about 5 days off in total since christmas day

Yeah I'm still on my probationary period, one month left of that. But surely it shouldn't matter they can't expect me to work like this?

Also Missedthebus, sorry to hear things didn't go to plan today.
I'm sure you're interview didn't go as bad as you thought, try and stay positive mate and keep us informed about it :D
And kick your flatmates arse, maybe take a few things from here ...http://www.dubstepforum.com/how-can-i-b ... 24915.html

Wipe his toothbrush on your the underside of your bellend or stick it up your arse, take a photo and then email it after you or he has moved out.
