Quick questions.
when making tunes did you or do you ever compare your music to others in the sceen and doubt weather your tunes are up to the sames standard?
or do you just do your thing and are happy with that.
Did you have alot of 'fans' or interest in your music before you started sending tracks to labels or do you not really care what people think of your tunes?
Thanks in advance... lovin your work big up!
I've always known I wanted to do something different so I didn't really compare my tunes to any others. I used dubstep as an influence rather than try and make dubstep tunes. My music is like marmite, you either really love it or you really really hate it.
Before I got signed, I did have a bit of interest, mainly from this forum.

so do you listen to alot of dubstep casually or what is usually on your rotation on your mp3 player? (like asking people this as technical stuff i usually know mainly or gets asked to death, better to know roots of influence imo)

I have many listens with my eyes closed and try to stay with in the same distance of the monitors throughout the whole song.
When you stare at waveforms or step sequences/blocks in piano roll too much you kinda lose the idea of the sound. Start your track and stare out the window... see how it makes you interpret the world around you.

I'm no Ikonika, but thats my 2 cents.

			Hi Sara,
I'm really looking forward to your set at Tektronik in Nottingham on the 29th Jan.
http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=2 ... 753&ref=ts (sorry everyone for the shameless promotion!)
What do you find more satisfying...finishing a new tune or playing out to a good crowd in a club?
I find a lot of dj's think about their live sets too much...When you play a gig, do you have a plan of what your going to play or do you simply go with the flow when you're there?
Also, when is the Album due for release?

What db do you bounce at?
Could you give us an insight to how you gain structure?
EDIT : Boring questions that dont need to be asked. However I would like to know what you thought of Une Chien Andalou, Im sure you had a image from it on your profile a while back.

hi and much respect for what you are doing.
I see a Transition acetate in the pic, as a dubplates lover I'd like to ask what's your relationship with dubplate culture, I read you are using serato, you still cut something? If yes where do you cut? Who is the best studio for you and why?
Thanks
