Steelseries Seberia headphones?
Hey all, i had a question about some headphones, and this might be a bit n00bish... but still.. i figured maybe someone here knows.
anyways, these headphones from Steelseries, originally designed for gaming purposes, popped up some questions to me, would this also be suitable to work with for music production? (suitable for mixdowns?) since it is actually designed for gaming... here are some of the specifications i know:
- Designed for gaming + MP3-players
- Comfortable
- Seperate microphone ( Gaming purposes)
- Frequency response: 18 - 28.000 Hz
- Impedance: 40 Ohm
- SPL@1kHz, 1V rms: 99 - 104 dB
- Cable length: 9 feet (with extension cord)
- Jack: 1/8" (1/4" converter included)
i am thinking of purchasing this for gaming and my i-pod etc, but would this be a good one to produce music with aswell? (then i wont have to buy another headphone for that, which saves me money )
just asking cause im unsure and dont know fuck about headphones :]
Linkage to thier website: http://www.steelseries.com/us/products/ ... nformation << headphone im talking about.
All thier headphones: http://www.steelseries.com/int/products/audio
Thanks in advance.

Re: Steelseries Seberia headphones?
"Designed for gaming" is just a fancy word for a lot of artificial bass. Internal low shelf EQ boost.
DO NOT GET FOR MIXDOWNS. You can get them to listen to music though :>
