try unitedprint.co.uk have just done some with them and they were fast, cheap and above all CONTACTABLE...

stay away from printcarrier, they will rape you

what g/sm to people recommend? what's standard for club flyers? 250gsm?

It's grams per square meter how thick the card is.

just go somewhere local so you're not paying delivery, prices should be competitive enough. How many depends on how many you think you can shift & how much you have to spend
