Cheers bro feedback much appreciated! yeah the synth i literally just threw in to make an intro lol that wont be staying as it isCollisionCourse wrote:@ louissmusic
that sounds nice, i like how it drops from the retro melody to hardcore bassline. the bassline i think needs more sub, and make it a bit louder, the drums seem to take over everything, spesh on the break at the end.
@ dubsteppahdan
im alsmost embarressed at how everyones first dubstep tunes are better than mine wereoh well
this is good, drums sounds nice and clean. its very well produced, nice work. id probably throw in a different synth at the beggining but thats just me.

Re: PUT YOUR WORKS-IN-PROGRESS HERE FOR FEEDBACK.
I dont have a name for this track yet so I just named it 'Dub' haha. I'm only 15 so im new to making dubstep, this is my first effort. I'm aware that it needs loads of work, but i dont reckon its particularly bad. Any kind of criticism welcome (: cheers.

Some sort of feedback would be appreciated.Subside wrote:So I am brand new to production and have no musical background at all but here is my first track I have put together. It's nowhere near done or anything I just want to leave it here for constructive criticism and to see what you guys think of it for being the first thing I've ever made. Thanks in advance![]()
Edit: Ignore the vocal sample I don't intend on keeping it and I am still learning how to make a good bass sound also the tune isn't properly mixed or have any equalization done.

Re: PUT YOUR WORKS-IN-PROGRESS HERE FOR FEEDBACK.
think the tune def needs much bigger kicks and snares, some sort of intro aswell cos its very bare atm and the bassline also needs beefing up, but you got a solid foundation to work with just keep it up practice makes perfectSubside wrote:Some sort of feedback would be appreciated.Subside wrote:So I am brand new to production and have no musical background at all but here is my first track I have put together. @ bunny on acid - very tight track track mate! really enjoyed the big chords! the drums have an excellent flow to em. sounds done, cant wait to hear the album!!
@ unglory - i like the drum patterns, thought the track needed a more coherent structure! keep on it!
any thoughts on this http://virb.com/fuzz2k first rack on the playa called blood
Its actually a dj shadow remix of blood on the motorway, stills needs alot of tightening!
Just not sure if i've taken it in the right direction?!?!?!

I like it's oddness but it needs more melody/present bass imo. Also that kick at 0:46 sounds accidental lol.
The distorted kick thing throws me out a little. Also there is something like a skip at 2:35. But other than that, nice relaxing tune man. I'd do something about the bass, though; less wobbly and less higher freqs maybe.fuzz_2k wrote:any thoughts on this http://virb.com/fuzz2k first rack on the playa called blood

Well, I got something in the works, its VERY rough, and really isnt done at all. But I decided to use 'real' sounding drums instead of techno ones. And I was actually gonna adventure even more and put vocals on top, it would be more like Rage Against the Machine vocals with some heavy heavy metal vocals on top, like At The Throne of Judgment style. Something new I havent heard before. Yeah, What do you guys think!?

collision, that track you have in your sig. first almost exact same chord progressions i would use! big up. and im really feeling the intro until about past a min. that xylophone is golden, it adds some percussion to what almost seems like a lack of building up to a beat throughout the first min. BUT. that strings synth needs to go bruv! seriously. this def would be a tune you would hear at the beginning of a Bunzer0 set, but that synth pratically kills it.
big up!!
big up!!

Twitchy garagey thing:
http://www.sendspace.com/file/x8m420
It's in a 'first draft' sort of state - I'm currently thinking that the structure and the parts are basically there but I'm probably going to go through tweaking the mix to get it sounding nicer and throw in some fills and FX and variations and things to keep it moving forward and flowing...
Haven't produced much for a while owing to pressures of work, christmas, drinking etc but am getting stuff back together again now.

Me and a friend of mine are doing a small collaboration based around Half Life. Ive started off experimenting with a few raw bass sounds, and pretty much making it sound as rugged as possible without clipping the sound. Not uploaded much of it, but i would love to here opinions on the the bass sound and drum work so far. Expect it to be all wrapped up in the next month. Enjoy
