1st BIRTHDAY SPECIAL! @ RED HOUSE
Fri 5th Feb...10-3am
HAITI EARTHQUAKE FUNDRAISER : ENTRY £5

WARLOCK (Rag & Bone Records)

'A DJ refusing to be sucked into any one genre, a typical Warlock set is a new experience every time. A spontaneous mash up of all things dark and bass heavy but above all, big tunes. Expect anything from the contemporary flavas of dubstep, mutant bassline, fidget, funky and electro, to old skool hardcore, acid house and techno - dirty dancefloor business all the way!'

Together with Noyeahno, Warlock is responsible for the running of our all-time favourite record label, RAG & BONE: an imprint dedicated to circulating the nastiest mutant-garage beats around. Acclaimed by bass-heads everywhere, they've released material from the likes of Drop The Lime, King Cannibal, Aaron Spectre, Starkey, Kanji Kinetic and Stagga as well as their own productions.

POINT B live (Combat Recordings//SCSI Av)

Current hot property in the electronic underground, Point B has been pumping new life into garage music of late. His refreshing sound blends dubstep, 2 step and electro, characterised by super-precise beat programming and lovely squidgy bass noises - at times haunting and melodic, but also leaving no doubt about his ability to lay down punishingly heavy-duty basslines!

On a roll after the release of his latest album 'Suicide Beauty Spot', performances at excellent nights such as Londons PLEX, and with a new live set for 2010, this is definately going to be one for the Subvert hall of fame!!

You may have heard us dropping his tracks at previous parties, but for an excellent example of Point B's capabilities check out his live set on Spannered.org > http://www.spannered.org/radio/1563/

GLOVE:R (Data-Trace//Electrode)

Data-trace records boss-man and founding member of Manchester's ELECTRODE crew, Mr. Rupert Glover's credentials are impeccable. Over the last few years Data-trace has released ace cutting edge electro from the likes of Teutonic Kaboom, Smashback, Cynthia Stern, Lief Ryan, Mazzula and Dead Sound, with more great things to come no doubt!

Seeing as Glover last came to visit when the Electrode lot 'grimed all over our bass' at the very first Subvert, its only seems right we should have him back to do it all over again on our birthday!

BROTHERS GRIM (WANTON BEAST b2b JOEL ATTACK)
(Subvert//Electrode)

Wanton Beast joins forces with Electrodes Joel Attack for a delightful blend of Davey family-approved easy listening.....not! more electro and techno bass gurglings from the grim duo.

DOGS DINNER (Subvert)

Mr Dinner brings the noise with a selection of wobble and grump-step which will get the party juices flowing, aiight!

NOTE TO ALL - we've decided to hike the entry fee up a wee bit (to £5), and all of the proceeds from this night will now be donated to the I.R.C, a non-profit NGO working on the ground in HAITI to provide relief to victims of the recent catastophic earthquake on 12th Jan. Please tell everyone you know to get down so we can raise as much as possible for those in need!!

If I wasn't manning my own night I'd be very tempted by this! Damn shame...
