concentration and devotion to your art

Post by groundwater » Tue Feb 02, 2010 6:05 am

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article ... Lloyd.html

"slows down his heartbeat and goes into a meditative state to prevent tremors when he is working"

"The pulse in my fingertip can ruin a sculpture and I have to work at night because the vibrations from traffic can cause problems."

"carves them using tiny tools with blades made from diamond shards"

now that's a good example! inspiring! :z:

sometimes i feel like this is the kind of work i will have to put in on tracks to reach my goals in music.

More importantly, is that Stringer Bell?

Really though, very similar to working on electronic music, so abstract... such a complex thing that just cannot be touched, or seen. Very difficult for me sometimes.

yes, fuck fuck fuck. awesome. we can all agree that the media are stupid.

personally, i think it's insane that someone would put that kind of work into sculptures that you can't even see without a microscope. insane in an awesome way. it's the same kind of insane that makes me work for hours getting a track right, then show it to my friends when nobody i know has a system that can do it justice
