This isn't going to be a popular opinion and I know the last time a few people on here said skream was shit he got quite upset but apart from midnight request line (i do quite like that tune it's just over played to death), I really can't get into him. For someone who's so highly rated I just don't get it?

Crap.

If this tune got any more repetitive it could be used as a car alarm. It's atrocious!

And this is just hilarious. Surely he was taking the piss when he made this, please say his tongue was firmly in his cheek, it's supposed to be shit... yeah?

I don't mind skream, he's got a few really good tunes but an equal amount of lacklustre ones. Definitely well over-rated I'd say

completely valid opinion as far as I'm concerned. I like a lot of his tunes...like 10 times repeat listens, but I also am indifferent to a lot of his tunes.

and some people can't stand him at all...it just is what it is.

the first album was like a 70:30 ratio of songs I like to songs I don't.

lol @ Tapped. the way you see Tapped is the way I see Rusko and Paper Bag....that song must be for pure laughs. it's like listening to a deranged carnival (more deranged than carnivals usually are)

out of skream, rusko, caspa and benga (the 'big' four), benga is probably my favourite, rusko is fun, caspa can work a crowd and skream is waaaaaaaaaaay down at the bottom of the list for me. There's people who post here who make far better tunes than skream, imo.

(ikonika is probably my favourite in all of dubstep, she's out there on her own doing her own thing, love it!)

gwan lass!

Skreams album was good then all the coke must of gone to his head or something because he started slacking so badly.

I had a dream Ikonika was my girlfriend was and in the morning I woke up and was like I'm in love with Ikonika then that feeling wore off.

You picked all of skreams weaker songs for examples though. What about these:

If you dislike him even including these then that's fine and it's just your opinion. It's just the examples you used weren't the best IMHO.

Over-rated perhaps but giving credit when credit's due is the way I see it.

I'm not a fanboy but the quality, consistency and diversity of his output is exceptional and that's why he's at the top of the game.

Love or hate him he deserves respect.

haha firky i know what you're saying but skream has some killer tunes imho

and as for caspa & rusko being better

I probably prefer benga but not by much out of those guys...

my personal faves are gravious & boxcutter by a long way...

skream has some killer tunes though...

Although I get where Firky is coming from..I die inside a little bit whenever someone writes off Skream. Maybe I'm clinging onto passed glories...But personally I think the guy can do no wrong.

Not every track is gonna be a Request Line smash...but he's (and Benga) certainly pushing the sound more than Caspa & Rusko...

Oh...and his Instu:metnal remix 12" was big.
I don't turn on Korn to get it on, I be playin Digi Mystikz 'til the dawn

Agreed.

Foxy off Glyphic just popped up on Ipod...No matter how many times I listen to any Boxcutter album (although I still havent' copped the new one) it puts a smile on my face.

Foxy = Summer afternoon Dubstep.

totally agree with the benga thing. he is an utter badman and despite his more recent tunes not being as good as his old stuff, diary of an afro warrior was one of the best albums ive ever bought. b4 the dual as an opener? SHUT UP
