Depends a lot on how they're doing it really.Pi-Krust wrote:Surely this is optional and at your own discretion, need to check on that though .Much rather have the hassle of having to carry I.D everywhere than having my biological data stored on some giant server somewhere without my consent.
I can't believe that this is some nationwide biometric database where cornershops are in the front line of the New World Order, primarily because that would cost fucking millions, be massive news, and be all over the papers. Seems more likely that your local shop has bought a gizmo that stores the data locally so that if you come in regularly you don't have to bother carrying ID. Although it's hard to imagine the advantages of that over the advanced facial recognition software known as "remembering what your regular customers look like."
Re: Biometric Verification
Ahh but if you're selected to be a jury member you're subject to voir dire which in the past has caused some friction. It's not as random as we may like to think.

Right; so if they've got enough evidence to convict you beyong reasonable doubt, the jury's decision is made for it?alien pimp wrote:if you tell a jury you've been in brighton and then the prosecutor comes saying they've found your print in a tobacco shop 20m near the crime scene in london the process ends theremagma wrote:And what about juries? Seems about right to me. I imagine they'd have something pretty substantial to go along with finger prints in a public convenience store... reasonable doubt is a bitch.

Re: Biometric Verification
It's the thin end of the wedge, it's nto the data-mining at a corner shop that is the problem but the desensitisation to our biometric data being taken routinely by something as small and as inconspicuous as the corner shop. It's little baby steps. CCTV is a prime example of this, CCTV cameras used to cost thousands of pounds now you can buy them for a tenner online. What started off as a CCTV camera in a bank has ended up with them in their thousands in every town and city. Also the UK has the largest DNA database per-head than any country in the world. The will, money and motive is there.slothrop wrote:Depends a lot on how they're doing it really.Pi-Krust wrote:Surely this is optional and at your own discretion, need to check on that though .Much rather have the hassle of having to carry I.D everywhere than having my biological data stored on some giant server somewhere without my consent.

And yes it is all over the news, and the papers, and the money doesn't really exist anyway, it just gets circulated around.

Re: Biometric Verification
Need to clarify my point a little i think,I don't believe that there is one giant server somewhere where all biometric data is stored and collated for the benefit of the NWO.I'm more worried about Individual corporations and organisations and what they'd do with the data and whom they might pass it on to.Fer instance if supermarkets had a record of your fingerprint and you had to scan your finger every time you shopped there, then surely they'd be able to build up a comprehensive profile of your shopping habits in order to target and market stuff at you better.Might seem trivial to some but i'm not that keen on how supermarkets operate and wish to help them as little as possible.Sorry if i don't make total sense but i have had a few light ales today .firky wrote:It's the thin end of the wedge, it's nto the data-mining at a corner shop that is the problem but the desensitisation to our biometric data being taken routinely by something as small and as inconspicuous as the corner shop. but what you perceive as individual corps and orgs might not be exactly that
how many people own 90%+ of US media?
in how many worldwide banks RBS has shares?

Re: Biometric Verification
Can't find the article online but there was something a few years ago about Biffa (refuse collection) and Tesco coming up with a deal. Basically Biffa would scan people's rubbish as they collected it for RFID tags and send this data back to Tesco who then would produce a map of people's spending habits and trends in the area down to an individual street area..Pi-Krust wrote: Need to clarify my point a little i think,I don't believe that there is one giant server somewhere where all biometric data is stored and collated for the benefit of the NWO.I'm more worried about Individual corporations and organisations and what they'd do with the data and whom they might pass it on to.Fer instance if supermarkets had a record of your fingerprint and you had to scan your finger every time you shopped there, then surely they'd be able to build up a comprehensive profile of your shopping habits in order to target and market stuff at you better.Might seem trivial to some but i'm not that keen on how supermarkets operate and wish to help them as little as possible.Sorry if i don't make total sense but i have had a few light ales today .

Re: Biometric Verification
find the thread where i posted about how US gov is buying databasis from private companies because the law doesn't allow them to harvest the data themselves, nobody found it relevant

I'll never use my prints or anything physical, besides a driver license. Especially if it's digital. What's next, retinal scans to get into clubs.

Blacksheep bar (Where Croydub is held).
If they ban you, the bouncers don't have to remember your face, it's all on machine and you don't have to show ID etc when you go.
