I know it's not cool to discuss race but I agree with the thread starter. It was the same with D&B for me, especially after 98.

Have to agree, espically with dnb everyone I have tried to imagine what they look like has looked fairly similar when I have actually seen them except: chase & status I thought they were black and I would never of pictured sub focus looking like such an emo but oh well...

wait....not only do i have to keep track of tracklists, labels, artists, what multitude of genres he/she could be labeled as, be able to back this label up with examples, etc...i now have to know what color of skin they have? man, i got too much shit to do in a day. id rather just listen to tunes. hell, i couldnt tell you a thing about what i have in my record collection and ive been playing for a minute but gimme a sample and i can instantly find it in my crates. fuck all if they're black/white/purple or what they had for breakfast on the day they wrote the tune. banging tune = banging tune. done. they're just going about their day with passion for something. they could care who buys theirs tunes as long as they get sold (and i dont mean that in a greedy way). if one person who hasnt heard dubstep hears a tune and is hooked....reward. if they drop their tune at a party and the crowd goes nuts = reward. people think too much. they aint wasting their day thinking about who you are. whether you're a dork or cool. just love the music.
