Re: Photos of 9/11 from police helicopters
I don't think anybodys finding it funny tbh. Also nobodys that dumb to say "ahhh there was helicopters it must have been planned" theres better evidence than that
Re: Photos of 9/11 from police helicopters
that guardian link says the photos were taken by "police photographers in helicopters", not monitors for traffic news. either way: doesn't it seem a bit odd that at 9:25ish all takeoffs were suspended, 9:45ish everything non-military or medical was told to land as soon as poss (with anything in the nyc/dc vicinity being rather closely looked at i would imagine), and at 10:30 or later ANY aircraft are still circling a big dust cloud in violation of FAA orders?seckle wrote:Before the tinfoil hat squad start foaming at the mouth in this thread, i just wanted to clear up the point about why the helis are flying. In NYC we have about 7 main local news TV channels. Each of those channels has a morning commute/ traffic segment that starts at around 6am and ends at about 10am. every single morning there are at least 6 helicopters hovering up over manhattan island. They film the highways and bridges that are the main arteries into manhattan. They each have a live tv camera going. This is why 9/11 was so over documented. Most of the major american cities, like LA, Chicago, Miami all have the same amount of helis flying every morning.
And finally, a large fuck you to anyone who finds humor in thousands of people dying.
bear in mind i'm not trying to suggest any kind of er, foul play, if that doesn't sound too insensitive. mainly because i was thousands of miles away, viewed all of this through a media lens and later the speculation of fellow internob nobs over a period of years, don't have a shred of evidence either way and am deeply ashamed that i'm a smartarse with no smarts. it's just strange

Seckle isn't interested in any 'evidence' unless it comes from an official source
it was the terrorists obviously
it was probably because internet forums exist and people debate religion on them when some muslims can't take it

I really don't wanna get into this fully, but there were interviews on that morning itself with people who said they thought bombs went off on some of the lower floors...
I mean, what reason would people have to lie about something like that? Why were a lot of those interviews never seen again?

i used to respect your interventions and had you on the list of people i like do debate with, even though most of the times i find your interventions at the border between uninformed and childish, but they were nicely putseckle wrote:Before the tinfoil hat squad start foaming at the mouth
not anymore lately
the only one foaming at the mouth everytime the establishment in your messed up country is attacked is you, you used to sound like a brochure sponsored by the gov, now you sound more and more pissed off, and i can put that only on the fact that your points of view are harder and harder to defend with arguments, so, like everyone of your kind, you need to resort to boring old clicheatic jokes and insults
but this old tinfoil hat is proud to be one if that's what they call being awake, because life confirmed me so many times, while you're still in some spasmodic denial about obvious things, obvious even for former team colleagues of yours
US is sooo great, yeah! at killing people for cash!

I was really just trying to show some impressive/sad photos; I'm pretty sure everyone that's spent any time on the internet has had this argument a million times. We all know where we stand and I doubt any minds are getting changed.

Re: Photos of 9/11 from police helicopters
nypd have helicopters flying over new york city at all hours....24/7. At night they stand out because they flash the same colored lights as the police cars on the ground.
as far as the testimony of people hearing bombs in buildings going off....none of those interviews have been hidden or made secret. They're all over youtube! Many people did hear explosions, but then again its not like 110 story buildings fall down everyday, for the average person to know the difference.

Re: Photos of 9/11 from police helicopters
There was a documentary about something similar on the telly a while ago, it was about this guy who was head of security for the office on his floor, and managed to evacuate everyone in his office safely and quickly when it happened as a few years before whilst playing flight simulator on the new york map, he had realised that it would be really easy to fly a plane into the twin towers as form of attack. He apparantly tried to flag it up as a risk but not much attention was paid to him, however he made sure he did regular evacuation practices with the workers on his floor as he was so concerned about this risk, on the day they were actually attacked his whole floor escaped un-harmed!kay wrote:The odd thing was that a friend of mine came up with a similar scenario involving the White House several years before in a (yes, I know, it's very geeky) in a roleplaying game. When the first plane hit the first tower, there were other planes in the sky that the controllers could not get in touch with via radio, so obviously as JFK airport is one of the busiest airspaces in america, they choose to ground all nearby aircraft for safety. if you watch the documentaries, the time from the first plane hitting to the second plane hitting was a clusterfuck between the controllers in DC..NY...FAA...US airforce....all trying to figure out what was going on. heathrow would have done the exact same thing, and ground aircraft instead of having them circling London.belb wrote:that guardian link says the photos were taken by "police photographers in helicopters", not monitors for traffic news. either way: doesn't it seem a bit odd that at 9:25ish all takeoffs were suspended, 9:45ish everything non-military or medical was told to land as soon as poss (with anything in the nyc/dc vicinity being rather closely looked at i would imagine), and at 10:30 or later ANY aircraft are still circling a big dust cloud in violation of FAA orders?seckle wrote:Before the tinfoil hat squad start foaming at the mouth in this thread, i just wanted to clear up the point about why the helis are flying. I saw that. Didn't he end up going back in to help and dieing after all? I'm sure I saw some emotional interview with his wife. Proper hero... I bet everyone thought he was a jobsworth tnuc when he had them all doing evacuation drills!dubluke wrote:There was a documentary about something similar on the telly a while ago, it was about this guy who was head of security for the office on his floor, and managed to evacuate everyone in his office safely and quickly when it happened as a few years before whilst playing flight simulator on the new york map, he had realised that it would be really easy to fly a plane into the twin towers as form of attack. well yeah, exactly. i'm quite sure there was a period of panic / fuckup where nobody knew what to do or who had responsibility, people are very, very fallible... what i don't get is after both towers had collapsed and the FAA had told everyone to land 45 minutes earlier, how were there still helicopters circling the debris? in case you're wondering i don't have any kind of "tinfoil hat" answer (always a helpful term to bandy around), i'd just genuinely like to understand what was going onseckle wrote:heathrow would have done the exact same thing, and ground aircraft instead of having them circling London.

I think it was a janitor called Willy Sanchez (?), he's still doing the rounds on 911 videos telling his version of events.magma wrote:I saw that. The defining moment of the decade for sure. I remember watching it on the news and it was a drama being played out. An episode of 24 on live tv.
