Unlike some people in this thread, I'd personally encourage you to make an effort to network as much as possible. That doesn't mean go tugging on the heavy hitters tshirt after their set or anything, and don't go there strictly for business... Just make an effort to have fun and if you meet some fellow artists you hit it off with, have the phone ready to get down some contact info for when you return home.

Some of my best partners in the music/entertainment world have come from people I've met at WMC. My first animation demo reel was scored by someone I met at WMC in 2003, and my first internship came from someone I met at WMC putting in a good word for me and getting me an interview.

Not saying go there with your business suit on, just don't be shy and take advantage of meeting some of your peers from all over the world.
