Nothing new but it's still great.

Classic Burial sounds which = happy days

(although it makes me wonder if he will ever switch up his drum patterns/vocal samples?)

The Album is a let down, I had massive expectations after the damage Hards been doing...

Same Burial Sound nothing new on the table, Dosent sound like breakage has touched it....any one else bord of this lark now.
Open up, is quiet a big rootsy digit but very simaler pattern to together / hard....once again a bit boring.
Higher and Run em out' ft roots manuva are the only saving grace's if you ask me,
listened to the promo 3 times now. Very dissapionted, Maybe its a grower but not much meat it in this pasty IMO.

lets hope its the foundation for something a little better.

sorry. :(

on the up note both scuba and ikonika's albums are sounding sick.
Big up ikonika on that one.

I have listened to it many times today, quietly and incredibly loudly.

If you know burial you will know that this is actually quite unlike anything he has done before.
He may use a lot of the same atmospheric samples, but the structure of the main tune is completely new to his work, as is the "clean cutness" of it all.

But that's just me... I examine his tunes a bit too much.

The more I listen to this, the more I love the vocal

Reeeeal nice. At first I thought it was roughly what I was expecting (a tune much more on the burial side o' things...) but actually no, its yeah got alot of familiar sounds and pads and whatever...but fuuuck me, I reckon thats just a literal dancefloor destroyer :o Thuuundering bass pounding some burialy...pinchy pounding nutsness

I could have worded that whole thing so much better

It defiantly is standard Burial... maybe we're just hearing different things but if you'd heard it without knowing what it was you'd know it was Burial straight away... there will be some subtle variations in there as there is on his LPs but its still pretty much the same as it ever was. Which I don't mind at all; could listen all day long to his sound but after this amount of time I would have liked to see more of a progression maybe. Like Stairwell or Speedball 2. They have gone a bit further imo than Vial, and they are fairly old now.

I'll still be copping this album though, probably mainly for Vial so who knows what the fuck i'm thinking! Out to Breakage

P.S. Shame about the art work... its pants! His other releases have some nice stuff but that image is quite dull.
