Just like dubstep, it doesn't sound good until you hear it on a proper system.
Yeah I fucking like that. Listened to the 3 tunes linked in this thread, and they went banging, reasonable...and disasterous :)
Would be sick if anyones got any pointers to, I dunno...probably your less polished stuff really. Love the old garagey feel to the second one though.

Exactly! I fucking like it as well, though back in Amsterdam no one ever hear of it, and there were no gigs/scene for it... Heck, even I know nothing about the genre, anyone knows good artists?

Dubstep also "sounds the same".

This is actually the reason why it's a certain genre. Same thing goes for pop. 128 bpm, 4 to the floor, autotune.

Not totally sure why, but 'bassline' usually sounds like nursery rhymes to me, or at a push megadrive music. Deffo is good to mix it into a dub set to break stuff up... Flows that nice that I can't see the point in the genre being called 'bassline'... Makes people look retarded saying 4x4 bassline when it's a component of loads of other songs anyway. It's like calling my new track snareline, because it has snare drums.

ROADRASH would be a better name than Bassline

Sorry that ain't constructive!

I agree, the name couldn't be worse.

Also, try googling bassline.... :S You get nothing that has to do with the genre lol

Yeah, only bassline's a bit faster and has a different beat in general.

Anyway a lot of bassline is just wrong, but still fun :D
Had some fun yesterday when the bassline dj was on.

From an internet board's point of view, they're not going to open their bandwidth to people who aren't going to stick around and read their advertisements. It's not great, but it makes perfect sense. Find a better source.

isn't it called Niche because a club called Niche in....Leeds(?).... started playing it? If that's true then the name is completely appropriate really.
