Some of you must read!! Any recommendations in the literary world?
Ive just started John Peel's autobiography, so far so good!!
Before that i was reading From Hell by Alan Moore - wicked read and good illustrations, properly sinster stuff tho...am really digging the darkness of the Victorian era at the mo.

"The human family now lives in conditions of a global village. We live in a constricted space resonant with tribal drums..." Marshall McLuhan

Miles Davis autobiography
If you didn't have reason enough to worhip the man, this will leave no doubt that Miles is a complete bad-ass.
Rem Koolhaas - Delirious New York
An architectural history of the city, with the city itself a constantly transforming character subject to the conflicting wills and agenda of those who happen to occupy it at any given time.
Mark Z. Danielewski - House of Leaves
Creepy book where the words on the page themselves become abstracted and warped and figuring out how to read the book is part of the mystery.

Awesome book...so much better than that tripe Mick Wall put out not long after he passed.Zefa wrote: Ive just started John Peel's autobiography, so far so good!!
Really intretesting to know that the last track ever played on Radio 1 by John Peel was by Klute.
I've just finished 'Hurricane' - the biography of Rubin Carter, a boxer jailed for triple murder.
Half way through 'Under The Volcano' by Malcolm Lowry. Nothing seems to be happening and its eye-wateringly difficult to read. You know a book's going to be tricky when the introduction is split into chapters....
After that going to re-read 'Invisible Man' by Raplh Ellison - my favourite book, about growing up in Harlem in the 30s/40s.
