are you under the impression that dubstep and dub are the same thing?
i think there's just been a spate of very dubby tunes recently.
I think cos all dub related discussions were allowed in the main forum and n.ot classified as "other"

Being a huge influence on dubstep I can't really help buy enjoy it. The only thing being that there is so much material I really don't know where to find a good starting point. I've picked up "The Essential Guide to Dub"(really) and from there I listened to a bit of king tubby and scientist. I haven't spent the time getting into it as much as I'd like though.

for tthe us crew, my advice is to get all the vinyl you can get your hands on:

for oldschool rockers, rub a dub, dub and represses, you're not going to beat the selection that dustyvinyl in chicago has. legendary shop. the reviews are usually 80% accurate.

I don't know much about dub, i only got into it after discovering dubstep and i've been finding out about it over the last year or so. Really feeling king tubby and lee scratch perry's stuff!

Missed this thread, bit of a bummer.

This is Augustus Pablo was my first exploration into dub, I'd never even heard of the melodica when I started listening to the album.

Love it!
