 my god. you're all on there. doesn't it give you a headache? like a real, literal pain in your head from all the messy pages, clunky code, images everywhere, illegeible text on messy backgrounds, music starting and stopping all the time. like "visit my homepage" circa 1996 reborn with ADD.

yeah, pretty much...
but i am all about 1996 up in here!
that was back when nickles had bees on them.
you'd say "give me 5 bees for a quarter"
and such as that.

can someone explain the myspace thing to me?

when i go there all it is, it a space with a nice music player integration and links to other people's myspaces, all of whom dont have much content there either.

it's not better than forum, or hompages or blogs - so why has it become this massive thing?

isn't it jus a blog-style community thing? And if the pages don't have much content, its probably cause they haven't put any up. I dunno... don't really understand it myself. But thats because I hate computers.

because it combines the customability and content ability of a website, with the ease of use of an application, the networking and communication of a forum and it dinnae cost a $

I find it absolutely infuriating, but it terms of listening to new music and meeting other producers its absolutely invaluable. Shame about all the spammers and randoms (i.e the christians from Texas that somehow decided that you were possible friend material) ...
