addison groove is headhunter! i never would have picked that. footcrab sounds like it's from another planet.

i love this article and the new naming of the house subgenre forum... to call this style of music one thing is a disservice to the sound!

ultimately tho isnt this kind of music going to succumb to the same kind of problems as 2step did?
Personally, I've loved the funky crossover so far but now dubstep is just starting to feel like some tug-of-war between dnb and garage with house/techno playing referee. also, personally i think juke is utterly mundane...its a nice step away from the clinical sterility that ruined dnb but it doesnt offer any content or rythmic inspiration and seems to be nothing more than assault-esque booty bass.... im not trying to slate it coz its a lot of fun but it seems like an odd fit for swamp... in any event uk music is definitely more exciting now than it has been for a few years and there's no disliking that.
anyway.... hi im spongebob

... not that odd considering Loefah's passion for cowbellspompende wrote: booty bass.... im not trying to slate it coz its a lot of fun but it seems like an odd fit for swamp...
But, yeah, I was rather perplexed too when i listened to Footcrab. Swamp to me is one of the last refuges/strongholds for a unique dubstep sound that might otherwise be swallowed up by house/techno. I have nothing at all against house; I was deep into it before I discovered dubstep. But I fell in love with dubstep (the Loefah/Youngsta line) because it was NOT house, because it was so utterly fresh, strange, raw, idiosyncratic, non-stereotype, OTHER.
Anyway, i like Footcrab and the way it builds to highlight the cowbells. I happen to have a passion for cowbells too

big up slackk & hackman, both deservedly mentioned
