Guys guys guys

Listen: I know how to make wobble bass, I'm not THAT retarded! I already stated that at least once...

What I'm going for is that strange, filthy sound that's almost exclusive to dubstep (hard DnB maybe?) It has nothing to do with wobble. Believe it or not there are more than just wobble basslines ;)

I'll try to find an exact example of what I mean.

And yeah I have some hard basslines but not quite what I want to do next :)

you can make filthy bass lots of ways ...

where's my uses multi saws i think and im pretty shure TC was using z3ta for the bass b/c si made one identical to it in a tune called 'what blud' about the time where's my money came out

you'll need to link an envelope to the cut off tho ... this bass doesnt wobble

the wavey filter sound is produced when you repeat the note and reinitialise the filter envelope

add some distortion + use a minimum of 2 detuned wave generators (multi saws/saws/octave saws) to make your sound

valid question
a pitty some people mistook what you were asking for.

Go crazy with effects man, mostly distortion & filter. You can make tones of tunes from the same synth presets (that you have made) that sound completely different (and filthy) just by using crazy effects. Check out Camel Phat, Ohmicide, Predatohm, Sugar Bytes WOW filter, Frohmage Filter, and so on. layer them up, go crazy, bounce down, and do it again. Also check out Tobybear's Vowelfilter.

A couple things that I would like to add in the effects department.

1. dont underestimate sending your oscillators to multiple filters and then having one lfo modulating both of them

2. Stereo Delay, chorus and re-verb with really tight delays make those cool phaserish robot sounds

3. Comb and notch fitlers are fucking awesome they do horrbile things to your sound, apply in moderation.( I made a horrible jungle cat screaming noise on accident that scared the shit out of my roommate).

4. Exciter plug ins add soem great extra harmonics to your sound.

5. EXPERIMENT

I can't help but get involved in this, the dude asked a question!! wether it was a basic one solved by a search or not this is a place where we help each other out and it really doesn't help when folks slam people for asking questions, even if it mean YOU doing a search and replying with the link it's a damn site more helpful than confusing people and using an animal references that has never and will never mean anything!!

It's what fucks me off about this forum!!

Done!!

Anyway a few people have given you some ideas on how to get started but the bottom line is mate just move controls till you hit something you like, it will happen and when you get it, use it, then tweak it a little.

Best of luck mate and have fun

*EDIT*- I may have been a little hasty and it seems some people have actually offered you a solution, and your tracks are pretty dirty already mate :)
