That's a shocking list. The reason I mentioned it in the other thread was because, whilst being very shocking and emotive - it's not really got anything to do with this campaign.

If this campaign wants to get heard it needs to keep it's message to this case, not just become a murmur amid some sort of general panic.

Sure, I can see your reasoning. It's worth bearing in mind that this is already a public who have enjoyed people like Chris Morris and Charlie Brooker savaging the furore around paedophilia in the UK.

For a case to really get heard you've gotta make sure the message is easy to get at - keep it to the Greigs and Mr Green - push this case because if it is true then it can't be lost in sighs of 'oh another News Of The World paedos story'

Although this story is pretty widely known over here in America (the whole Jeff Gannon/Johnny Gosch debacle,) it's kind of disingenuous to list it as a confirmed fact because there was never any corroboration either way; the sex parties thing was alleged by non-participants and completely speculatory, and there was never any legally admissible proof thereof [that I know of]. Outside parties came up with this speculation when they heard stories of his late-night access to the White House.

Which is not to say that I do not believe such things may have occurred, but if we're going to nail these fucks we have to be as clear and accurate as possible and not repeat misinformation that may discredit the whole thing by association with the tinfoil hat posse.

I am surprised that there are no social services records in the list you posted of related documents, this may be because (and i've had first hand experience of this) a) the social care system has repeatedly failed to act in accordance with the 'Soham' and Bishard recommendations/reports and child protection policies,
b) have tried to sweep the matter out of public view
c) were not working alongside Police child protection officers.
This doesn't surprise me, I've seen first hand shocking social care mistakes over a number of years relating to involvement with families that go back years.
As the horrific baby P story has shown, social services are supposed to be the front line for protection of children, they have wide ranging powers in conjunction with Police that they can use fairly easily, examples being emergency protection orders, which means they can remove a child at risk of immediate harm from either/or physical/sexual/neglect forms of abuse.
Now, not all the Police should be tarred with a shite stick, the child protection units do some amazing work, saving children on a daily basis against unbelievable pressure and in dangerous circumstances. One thing is for certain, they aren't led by politicians when they do their work. But they are to a degree led by social care simply because for the information that social services may hold on a child or family. Bear in mind though I'm speaking of the UK Police not Scotland Child Protection Police of whom I have no knowledge.
That's where the problem lies. Protecting children is about sharing info with other agencies like schools, hospitals, social care etc, if information 'goes missing' or isn't disseminated it can literally mean the difference between life or death.
Now we can have some tiny understanding of the sheer responsibility and difficulties involved in CP work. What happened to this poor girl sounds like a cover up for certain, there should have been arrests, charges and convictions on the strength of what I've read so far.
Another thing that disturbed me was that letter from Anna Racoon???? that suggested -

"It is a sad fact of life that many girls with Down’s syndrome are both tactile and highly sexed, an unfortunate combination in highly vulnerable individuals, and as such they are disproportionately represented amongst the tragic list of those who suffer child abuse. I don’t make those comments in any sense of ‘excusing’ the men involved, it is for adults to make responsible decisions, but in sad acceptance of the fact that yes, she probably was abused. In my experience, parents of children with Down’s syndrome are only too aware of the dangers, and take extra precautions to make sure that their children are safe"

This is idiotic lunacy at it's best, I would be interested again, to know where she has collated her data from that suggests that girl's with down's syndrome are 'highly sexed' and at the top of the list of those who suffer child abuse. She clearly has no knowledge of the sheer amount of child protection referrals that come to the Police on a weekly basis (a rough number would be about 150 in one week alone in ONE area, say for instance in half of East Berkshire.

To put that number into perspective, that's 150 reported cases/instances of child abuse be it neglect/physical/emotional/sexual and take into account that amongst this number some of the cases will be of a historic nature and could go back as 40 years ago or last year.
Each one of these has to be looked at and dealt with appropriately.
Now times this by however many boroughs in the country and the numbers start to look very large.
