Detonate in Nottingham Last Night

Post by corpsey » Sat Jan 27, 2007 2:37 pm

The dubstep room's getting more and more rammed each time, it was ridiculously busy at 12 last night, a lot of vibes. Big up Mala, ''Learn'' is too much and ''Bury the Boy'' of course killed it. Weird seeing so many people there for ''Anti war dub'' when on the same dancefloor I saw Kode 9 drop it with about twenty or so people lol Also shout to Aled, some classics in that set and some nasty garagey bits at the end.

Most of all out to Jon and Bracky, killed it for two straight hours plus from 12 and then came on at the end to kill it again with some jungle. Never thought I'd hear Dred Bass in Stealth lol You Got Me Burning, Worries in the Dance, R.I.P (think that was Aled actually)- BIG.

Dubstep's blowing still in Notts, will be interesting to see how that dubstep room progresses/expands in the future.

Oh and also- Jon, what was the last tune you played? Is it the original Bug Flowdan tune or a Loefah rmx? Or neither?

Sooo fucking busy last night, good vibes all round but downstairs was by far the better room. Having to mission through the crowds filming is never fun in stealth because of the shiit layout, but rusty, bracky and mala cheered me up whenever I got within earshot.

Will post the video when its done for sure, bring on youngsta and hatcha....and of course dub child on the 9th

Big up all the DJs.

Jon Rust and Rob - mashed up the dance!
Mala - hardest working man in dubstep this weekend.
Aled Jones - nice bit of ecclectisism at the end there.

Plus the usual selection of comedy punters! The hen-night dubstep market expands every Detonate.
:D

Such a big night! The volume of people in the Dubstep room increases at every Detonate. Proper rowdy crowd, quality vibes. Glad it kept going till 5.

Big up Rusty and Bracky for a hype b2b set! One of my favourite sets I've seen in the Dubstep room. Big up Aled as well. Jungle session at the end was a touch.

Big up Mala for coming up again - Must have been a crazy dash from Fabric! Big set.

Looking forward to the next Detonate already - Hatcha and Youngsta with Crazy D!

Last friday of every month.

It's at Stealth in Nottingham.

£10 in advance. No dress code (..but they'll still hassle you to take your cap off :x )

Yeah, and did you notice that bouncer wanderin around the dancefloor towards at one point gettin people to take their hoods down? Strange behaviour. if I was a bouncer I'd be more inerested in getting mans to put their shirts back on.

Also, apparently one of the woman bouncers had a right good grope of my man's ass doin the search. I was ready to take her out, no joke ting.

And that night was sick as hell, was on the stage bit near the decks brockin out like a bastard with Boomting

Wanted to meet you last night Corpsey but got too engrossed in the music as per. That was my birthday celebration and by the end of the night I was walkin round asda pushin a trolley with a broken tv in it with no trousers on. Oh and Boomting set my trousers on fire and I still don't remember it happening, my leg hurts though lol

That's what happens when you go for that whoops stuff at ASDA. Half the time it doesn't even work. And then next thing you know someone's set fire to your trousers. I'd pay a visit to customer services

Big up Mala for coming up again - Must have been a crazy dash from Fabric! Big set.
Apparently he was on a plane straight away to Lisbon for a gig on Saturday aswell...Captured the footage today, all very dark - normally a bad thing, but it is very, very dark in stealth...
